The Auburn Tigers shook off an early-season lull and have won five straight games heading into a Week 10 matchup against the Vanderbilt Commodores. Auburn is a big favorite to take care of business in this home game, and may be able to move into the top-10 of the national rankings with a victory.
Auburn has won four consecutive games by double digits and is projected to pull that feat once again. Vanderbilt has only lost one game by more than seven points this season and hopes to keep this one close.
This contest in Week 10 of the regular season will go down Saturday, November 5, 2016, at 12 p.m. ET at Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Odds Analysis
Even though Auburn will really need to play well to cover a large spread, the bettors foresee it happening. Nearly 70 percent of the action has gone to the Tigers to cover.
The scoring total projects a low-scoring game, and the gamblers are taking advantage of this one, with more than 90 percent of the action hitting the “over.” Auburn has a solid offense and it will need to score a lot to help surpass the total.
Auburn has been really good against the spread this season. The Tigers are 6-2 overall and have covered in seven of eight games. Auburn is 4-1 trying to cover as the favorite and has beaten the spread in five of six home games.
Vanderbilt is 4-4 straight up and 5-3 against the spread. The Commodores have covered in four of six tries as the underdog this year.
Player to Watch
Kamryn Pettway - The Auburn running back is coming off a monster game last week against Ole Miss. The sophomore had 30 carries for 236 yards and a touchdown in the 40-29 victory, averaging 7.9 yards a carry.
The performance was a career-high for Pettway who wasn’t even projected to be the starting running back this season. Due to some transfers and injuries, he shot up the depth chart and he’s been lighting it up ever since.
Last week marked his fourth game of the season where he has rushed for 150 yards or more. He has 148 carries for 933 yards and seven touchdowns on the year.
Matchup to Watch
Vanderbilt rushing game vs. Auburn front seven - The only way the Commodores can expect to keep this thing close is by rushing the ball well. Vanderbilt has averaged 162.9 rushing yards per game this season, which is more than it has averaged through the air.
Vanderbilt is led by Ralph Webb, who has 164 carries for 855 yards and six touchdowns. Auburn has allowed only 16.0 points per game and has done a good job of slowing down the run, allowing opponents to average only 126.6.
If Auburn can limit Vanderbilt’s effectiveness with the rushing game, this one should be a blowout.
Free ATS Pick
Auburn’s two early losses came to big-time foes Clemson and TExas A&M. Since then, it has knocked off the likes of LSU, Arkansas and Ole Miss. It’s probably too late to be a legitimate player in the College Football Playoff, but the Tigers are in the running for a top-tier bowl game.
They are the better team in all facets in this one and have the home field advantage. Auburn shouldn’t have much trouble putting this one away. The problem is how big the spread is, as a late score can really affect which team covers.
While Auburn is going to win handily, watch out for a backdoor cover by Vanderbilt. The Commodores aren’t an awful team and can stick around just long enough to help pay off its supporters in this one. The “over” is the easy call.
College Football Odds: Auburn 37, Vanderbilt 13
