The Colorado Buffaloes control their own destiny down the stretch as they take aim at winning the Pac-12 South. They can take the next step toward that goal with a Week 11 victory over the Arizona Wildcats.
The Buffaloes are on the road for this one but still significant favorites as the Wildcats have suffered through a rough season and don’t seem to be a worthy foe.
This contest in Week 11 of the regular season will go down Saturday, November 12th, 2016, at 10 p.m. at Arizona Stadium.

Odds Analysis
Colorado is a large road favorite and 77.8 percent of the early action has come in on the Buffaloes to cover the spread. The scoring total seems pretty accurate as each side is taking in an even amount of money early on.
The Buffaloes are 7-2 overall and have been fantastic against the spread this season, covering in seven games and pushing in the other two. The Buffaloes are 4-0-1 as the favorite and 3-0-1 against the spread on the road this year.
The Wildcats are on the other end of the spectrum. They are 2-7 straight up and winless in six conference games. Arizona is just 1-8 against the spread this season including only one cover in six home games.
Player to Watch
Anu Solomon - The only real chance Arizona has at pulling off this upset is if their quarterback leads the way. Solomon has been banged up for much of the season and hasn’t been particularly effective when he’s been in the game.
Solomon is 29-of-46 passing this year for 335 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. That’s not much reason to put any faith in him, but it’s the job he did the two years prior that gives some reason for hope.
Solomon threw for 3,793 yards with 28 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 2014 and for 2,667 yards with 20 touchdowns and five interceptions in 2015. If he can regain some of that touch, it will give the Wildcats a shot, although it’s hard to believe that will happen.
Letdown Spot
Colorado has the talent advantage and everything to play for, but it’s human nature to have a letdown in a game like this. The environment won’t be very noisy against an Arizona team that has struggled and this one could be sloppy.
The Buffaloes have a pair of huge games upcoming to wrap up the regular season when they host nationally ranked foes Washington State and Utah. That will likely decide the Pac-12 South, but Colorado first needs to make sure to take care of business in this one.
It’s hard to fathom Colorado losing this game, but a lack of motivation could play a role on if the spread is covered.
Free ATS Pick
Colorado needs to clean up its play after tallying numerous penalties a week ago in a 20-10 win over UCLA. However, the Buffaloes were still talented enough to win as the defense stood up in that one.
The Buffaloes’ only two losses are to College Football Playoff contender Michigan and on the road at USC, so the season has gone really well. They will aim to keep it rolling here.
Arizona has been sidetracked by a bunch of injuries and a defense which has struggled badly. There isn’t much to play for as the Wildcats aren’t going to make a bowl game, so it will be an uphill battle to win this one.
Colorado is the much better team but Arizona will be able to cover in a game that will likely be sloppy.
