The 2nd-ranked Clemson Tigers will look to stay unbeaten as they host the Pittsburgh Panthers in Week 11 action on Saturday, November 12 on ABC. It will be the first meeting between the teams in almost 40 years as their only previous meeting happened in 1977 when Pittsburgh won 34-3 in the Gator Bowl. The Panthers come into this game at 5-4 but they are just 2-3 in the ACC while the Tigers are 9-0 overall and 6-0 in the conference. Clemson is nearly a three-touchdown favorite in this contest.

Clemson -20.5
Odds Analysis
The wiseguys have been all over the Tigers in this game as the number opened up at 19 on Sunday night. It didn’t take long for the wiseguys to pounce on that number and take it to 20. The movement on Clemson continued on Monday morning with the Tigers going to 20.5. There is only one way the public is going to bet this game and that is to take the Tigers so there is a good chance that this number could go to 21 and higher.
Matchup to Watch
This game on Saturday has a true mismatch with the Clemson passing attack going against the Pittsburgh secondary. The Tigers have one of the best passing attacks in the country as they are putting up 320 yards per game through the air which is 13th best in the country. Deshaun Watson did suffer a shoulder injury last week but all indications are that he is fine and will play in this game on Saturday. He has a plethora of weapons at his disposal including Mike Williams who has 754 yards receiving this season.
The Panthers simply can’t stop the pass as they are giving up 317.1 yards per game through the air which is 126th in the country. The Panthers are simply not going to be able to stop the Clemson passing attack in this contest. That could be one reason why the wiseguys are all over the Tigers in this contest.
Key Stat
The Panthers have not played an opponent ranked this high since they played West Virginia in 2007. Pittsburgh has not beaten a ranked opponent since 2013.
The Panthers are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The Tigers are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 home games. The Tigers are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games in November.
Looking at the total, the Over is 8-0 in the Panthers last 8 games overall. The Over is 5-0 in the Panthers last 5 road games. The Under is 4-1 in the Tigers last 5 home games. The Under is 6-2 in the Tigers last 8 games in November.
Free ATS Pick
Normally you would like to make a case for taking the big points with Pittsburgh but there is no real reason to take the Panthers. They will be able to score some points in this game as the average 37 points per contest but their defense simply can’t stop the pass so Clemson should be able to score at will. Pittsburgh is just 2-2 ATS on the road this season. The Tigers are 3-2 ATS at home this season and they are coming off a 54-0 win last week against Syracuse.
The Tigers have no reason to look ahead as they have Wake Forest up next which is not a team that scares Clemson. The Tigers should be able to run up the score against a bad Pittsburgh defense so as long as Watson is healthy this should be a rout.
I will lay the points with Clemson and also play the game over the total.
