The Washington Huskies are zeroing in on a College Football Playoff berth that seemed quite unlikely at the beginning of the season. They will aim to remain undefeated in Week 11 in a home matchup against a tough USC Trojans team which has been playing well of late.

Washington has a showdown at No. 25 Washington State to end the regular season, but this one can’t be overlooked because USC is a tough opponent. The Huskies have answered every test this season and will get another big one, but they are a sizable favorite to take care of business at home.

Watch this regular season Week 11 matchup live on Saturday, November 12th, 2016, at 7:30 p.m. ET at Husky Stadium.

USC +9

Washington -9

Over/Under 62.5

Odds Analysis

The Huskies will have to win this one by double-digits in order to cover this spread, but the gamblers trust them as more than 68 percent of the money is coming in on them to cover.

The scoring total has been deemed too low as more money has been choosing for the “over” to be the correct call in this matchup.

Washington is 9-0 overall and 6-0 in the Pac-12 this season. The Huskies have gone 5-4 against the spread this season, covering three times in five tries at home thus far.

USC is 6-3 overall and 5-3-1 against the spread. The Trojans have struggled as the underdog, though, with no covers in three attempts.

Player to Watch

Jake Browning - The Washington quarterback just keeps getting better. The sophomore threw for 378 yards and six touchdowns against Cal last week, breaking the program’s record for touchdown passes in a single season with 34 this year.

Browning has thrown for 2,273 yards this year with just three interceptions. The passing game is averaging 268.4 yards a game behind the young gunslinger.

Browning has entered the Heisman Trophy conversation, and while Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson is the heavy favorite, just getting his name in there is quite the accomplishment.

Key Stat

48.3. That’s how many points the Huskies offense is averaging per game right now. Washington currently ranks second in the nation for points against.

Washington has outscored opponents 435-153 over the first nine games. The team has scored 40+ points in seven games this years and dropped 70 points on Oregon and scored 66 against Cal this week.

This is a big test for USC’s defense which has held opponents to 23.6 points a game thus far. The Trojans will need to find a way to slow down the passing game if they want a chance.

Free ATS Pick

USC started the season 1-3 but has really turned it on of late. The Trojans have won five consecutive games including a win over Colorado.

USC is hoping to stay in the race in the Pac-12 South but needs to not only win this game but get some help.

Washington has only won two games by a touchdown or less this season, making blowouts the norm. USC is a tough team to get away from, but the Huskies can rely on Browning as well as a strong running game and defense.

The team is extremely well-rounded and seemingly on its way to a berth in the College Football Playoff. There are only a few more hurdles left to get there, and even though USC is tough, playing at home means a win must happen.

Take Washington to not only win this game but get the cover as it continues to prove it is among the best teams in the country. The “under” is the call as these defenses are good enough to stop this from being a shootout.

College Football Odds: Washington 35, USC 24
