The Pac-12 North championship is on the line this week as rivals and ranked conference opponents the No. 22 Washington State Cougars and the No. 6 Washington Huskies face off. This Week 13 matchup, which has been dubbed the Apple Cup, is highly anticipated for both sides this season given the strength of these programs as well as what’s at stake.
The sixth-ranked Huskies are fresh off a 44-18 thumping of Arizona State last week and come into this one at 10-1 while the Cougars are looking to avoid two straight losses after falling to Colorado last week. The Huskies have been heavy favorites in many games this season, but this one has a relatively close spread. Washington is garnering more than 76 percent of the action against the spread, as a cover with a touchdown margin is appealing.

Falk threw for 325 yards last week in the loss to Colorado, but his accuracy hit a season-low as he completed just 26 of 53 passes. The junior will most likely enter the NFL draft after the season and will be looking to close his college career out with win, especially against Washington.

This rivalry began in 1900 and the teams have met 108 times since then with Washington holding a record of 70-36-6 against Washington State all-time. The Huskies are the favorites again this season, coming in a six-point favorites, but with a quarterback like Falk, the Cougars can’t be counted out.
