There are clear paths for Alabama and Clemson to make the College Football Playoff, but the other two spots are up for grabs. Might the Big 12 winner get in? That’s the hope of both the Oklahoma Sooners and Oklahoma State Cowboys, who face off in the regular season finale in Week 14 with a won on the line.
The Sooners have turned it on after a slow non-conference season and are the favorites to win this one and put pressure on the selection committee. If Oklahoma State wins it would be a longer shot for the playoff but would love to be in that position with the upset.
This matchup in Week 14 of the regular season will take place on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at 12:30 p.m. ET at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.

Odds Analysis
Oklahoma State gets a lot of points for a matchup of two top conference foes, and the bettors like that, as more than 59 percent of the money is coming in on the Cowboys to cover.
The scoring total is extremely high as an entertaining shootout is expected. The “over” is the choice even with the points so high.
Oklahoma is 9-2 straight up and 4-7 against the spread. The Sooners have covered in four of nine games as the favorite and are 3-3 against the spread as the home team.
Oklahoma State is 9-2 straight up and 6-5 against the spread this season. The Cowboys have covered in three of four games as the underdog this season and would love to do so again.
Matchup to Watch
Dede Westbrook against the Oklahoma State secondary - It’s not clear how the Cowboys will approach this, but it will be up to either Ashton Lampkin or Ramon Richards or, likely, a combination of the two to stop one of the nation’s top receivers in Westbrook.
Westbrook is without question Oklahoma’s No. 1 target with big-time big play potential and he’s proven it all season long. Westbrook has 70 catches for 1,354 yards and 15 touchdowns this year.
Lampkin and Richards have been a bit inconsistent this year, but Oklahoma State’s ability to keep Westbrook contained this weekend will be a big factor in this game. Let him loose and he will destroy a secondary.
Player to Watch
Baker Mayfield – The Oklahoma quarterback is a Heisman candidate this season and it’s easy to see why. Mayfield has thrown for 3,381 yards this year with 35 touchdown and eight interceptions.
He boasts a completion percentage of 71.4 percent and leads the nation in total QBR. He has thrown for 300 yards or more in six games this season including 545 passing yards against Texas Tech on October 22nd.
Mayfield has the luxury of having one of the best receivers in the nation in Westbrook on his side. Behind the duo, it’s not hard to see why this offense is averaging 45.3 points a game.
Free ATS Pick
Oklahoma State’s defense will have its hands full, so the Cowboys’ offense can’t miss a beat. Oklahoma State is averaging 40.4 points per game as quarterback Mason Rudolph has thrown for 3,591 yards with 25 touchdowns and only four interceptions.
If Rudolph can take advantage of a questionable Sooners’ secondary Oklahoma State may be able to stay within striking distance.
Oklahoma has won eight straight games and the past four in a row by double-digits. The Sooners will aim to pick up a convincing win to impress the College Football Playoff committee, but this one likely won’t be easy.
Oklahoma should win, but take Oklahoma State to cover in what could be one of the best games of the weekend.
College Football Odds: Oklahoma 45, Oklahoma State 38
