The Washington Huskies’ hype train is at full steam after a dominant showing last time out against Stanford. The undefeated Huskies will aim to keep rolling as a road favorite against the Oregon Ducks in Week 6.
It’s a scary game as Oregon has impressive talent, but Washington has moved into the top-5 nationally and can make another big statement by taking care of business.
This contest in Week 6 of the regular season will go down Saturday, October 8, 2016, at 7:30 p.m. ET at Autzen Stadium.

Odds Analysis
The bettors are buying into Washington’s greatness, as more than 75 percent of the action is choosing the Huskies to cover the spread.
The scoring total is one of the higher ones of the weekend, which is no surprise with the fast-paced Oregon offense involved. Even so, more than 76 percent of the money is going on the “over” as the majority of gamblers are expecting a shootout.
Player to Watch
Jake Browning -- The Washington quarterback has looked like a star midway through the season. He has completed 82-of-116 passes for 1,114 yards with 17 touchdowns and two interceptions. This is a big improvement from a season ago, when he finished with 16 touchdowns and 10 picks all season.
Browning’s emergence has helped lead the Washington offense to an average of 45.4 points per game. He was efficient last week, throwing for 210 yards and three touchdowns in a blowout win over Stanford.
Key Stat
263.4. The Oregon offense is predicated on its running game, and that’s the yards per game the Ducks are averaging on the ground.
Washington has been dominant defensively this season, allowing only 12.8 points per game and 122.2 rushing yards per contest. If Oregon can pull the upset, it will likely be because the team’s rushing attack gets going.
Royce Freeman leads the way, as he has carried the ball 56 times for 463 yards and seven touchdowns. Oregon. The Ducks are scoring 40 points per game, and since their defense isn’t nearly as stout as Washington’s, the offense must really get rolling.
Oregon doesn’t want to fall far behind because its strength is not throwing the ball to rally back from a deficit.
Free ATS Pick
Washington had one scare this year, knocking off Arizona in overtime two weeks back. Some may have questioned the Huskies’ legitimacy after that one, but they stormed back to blow out Stanford last week to really turn some heads.
Washington is averaging over 45 points per game and playing great defense, so it’s easy to see why it is the road favorite and considered one of the best teams in the country. The Huskies are on the right track to grab a College Football Playoff berth, but can’t afford a slip-up, and this one is no easy task on the road against a good opponent.
Oregon’s defense needs to pick it up after giving up 35, 41 and 51 points in its past three games to Nebraska, Colorado and Washington State, which all resulted in losses. The Ducks used to be one of the best programs in the country but have declined recently.
This would be a big win to help turn it back around, but it won’t be easy. Autzen Stadium is known for its crowd and the Ducks would love to get their fans whipped into a frenzy. On the other side, Washington wants to get out to an early lead and coast from there.
The Ducks shouldn’t be counted out, but Washington is too good on both sides of the ball to lose this one. However, it will be closer than expected as the Huskies will win a squeaker.
Washington should win but the Ducks will cover. The Huskies’ defense is good enough to stop this from being a shootout, so take the “under” on the scoring total.
College Football Odds: Washington 35, Oregon 30
