The Georgia Bulldogs got back on track last week with a much-needed win over South Carolina and will look to make it two in a row taking on the Vanderbilt Commodores this week at home.
Vanderbilt has lost two in a row coming into Week 7 against Georgia and comes into this matchup with a record of 2-4. While there is no line on this game yet, expect the Bulldogs to be solid favorites as Vanderbilt has struggled throughout 2016.
This contest in Week 7 of the regular season will go down Saturday, October 15, 2016, at 12 p.m. ET at Sanford Stadium.

Odds Analysis
Even though Vanderbilt has not played very well this season, it has done a nice job against the spread, covering in four of six matchups. Georgia hasn’t been as good, as it is 2-4 against the spread and hasn’t covered in either home game.
The Bulldogs will be favored but must show they can live up to the oddsmakers’ belief in them. Check back later for the odds.
Injury Report
The player to watch is Vanderbilt quarterback Kyle Shurmur, who is dealing with an eye injury. He played in last week’s loss to Kentucky but was only 17-of-29 passing for 141 yards without a touchdown or interception.
The Commodores could not get much going offensively and Shurmur’s poor performance contributed greatly to that. He wore a special visor shield and it remains to be seen if he will make any changes for this game.
On Georgia’s side, star running back Nick Chubb ran for 121 yards and two touchdowns in last week’s win over South Carolina. Chubb had only one carry for three yards the game prior against Tennessee but looked back to health and should be good to go for this one.
Look-ahead Situation
Georgia may overlook this one. The Bulldogs are trying to get back into the mix in the SEC East and has a huge game next time out against Florida.
Georgia needs to win that one to upgrade its standing, and there will be the natural inclination to start focusing on that one since Vanderbilt is winless in the conference.
The Bulldogs are so much more talented that they probably shouldn’t have much trouble winning this game, but the spread could be in doubt if Georgia takes Vanderbilt lightly in this showdown.
Free ATS Pick
Georgia defeated South Carolina 28-14 last week, a team Vanderbilt fell to in its season opener, to improve to 4-2 on the season. The Bulldogs started off the season strong with three straight wins over North Carolina, Nicholls and Missouri but suffered back-to-back losses after that, falling 45-14 to Ole Miss and then losing in thrilling fashion to Tennessee.
If Georgia didn’t give up a Hail Mary on the last play of the game against the Volunteers, they are looked at in a different light. However, that’s what happened and now the Bulldogs need to play very well down the stretch to move back up among the conference’s best.
Quarterback Jacob Eason had a really poor game last time out and needs to be better. He has thrown for 991 yards with seven touchdowns and four interceptions on the season. While Chubb and the running game is the key, Georgia needs to be able to throw the ball to keep defenses honest.
The Commodores have wins over Middle Tennessee and Western Kentucky so far this season, but are 0-3 against SEC opponents. The loss to Kentucky last week was their second straight loss.
If Vanderbilt lost to some SEC powers early on it would be given a pass, but falling to South Carolina and Kentucky is not a good sign. The Commodores did play Florida tough and they hope to bottle that and give Georgia a run.
However, that seems unlikely as the Bulldogs should roll to the win.
