NFL ATS Picks - Baltimore Ravens at Tennessee Titans Game Preview

Ravens-at-Titans-(CBS)

The Ravens’ defense is playing well this season but its offense needs to pick it up if this team has a chance to make the playoffs. Joe Flacco has struggled this season and is now dealing with a concussion after a hard hit by Kiko Alonso on “Thursday Night Football.” Despite his struggles this year, Flacco’s availability will play a role in the spread in this game.

Watch this regular season Week 9 matchup live on Saturday, November 5, 2017, at 2 p.m. ET at Nissan Stadium.

Odds Analysis

The Titans should be favored in this game no matter what, but the spread will be determined closer to kickoff when it is more clear if Flacco can play. The scoring total will also be affected. It figures to be low either way, but Baltimore could really have trouble putting points on the board without their starting quarterback.

The line should start coming into clearer focus as the week goes on, so check back for the spread and scoring total.

Injury Report

Flacco — Baltimore’s quarterback was knocked out of the game by Alonso while trying to slide. Some are calling for a suspension for the Dolphins linebacker as he hit Flacco late. Flacco is in the concussion protocol and Ryan Mallett is the backup in Baltimore.

Marcus Mariota -- The Titans have dealt with an injury to their quarterback as well. Mariota has been dealing with a hamstring strain for the past few weeks. The team had a bye in Week 8 which should help him. Mariota is a dual threat and if his hamstring is healed up that will be a big help.

Corey Davis -- The Titans’ first-round pick was supposed to be a main target of Mariota’s through the air but he has been hampered by hamstring injuries throughout the season. Davis should play in this game, but expectations should be tempered as he is still inexperienced.

Key Stat

Zero. That’s the number of points the Ravens gave up last week in a dominant 40-0 win over the Dolphins. It was the second shutout of the season for Baltimore, as it has had games where the defense has been great.

Baltimore scored a pair of defensive touchdowns last week and doing something similar would give the Ravens a great shot at pulling the upset. Whether Flacco plays or not, the Ravens have had trouble scoring all year.

Baltimore will need its defense to have a big game in order to pull off this upset.

Free ATS Pick

The Titans came into the season with grand expectations, and despite some inconsistency, does sit atop their division at this point. Tennessee needs to start playing better in order to hold off their AFC South brethren, and this is a big game.

The Ravens played really well last time out and are confident they can win this game. Running back Alex Collins looked good last time out and the team figures to lean on him in this one. This is the type of game that could go either way, so choosing the Ravens is the right call to cover since they will be the underdogs.

The Titans, though, should be able to come away with a close win. Keep an eye on the scoring total when it is released because there won’t be a lot of points in this one.

NFL Odds: Titans 19, Ravens 17
