The Los Angeles Rams have officially switched from surprising turnaround to legitimate NFC contender. The team has taken off under new coach Sean McVay and hopes to keep rolling in Week 10 against the Houston Texans. Los Angeles dominated the New York Giants on the road last time out and will be the presumptive favorite to stay atop the NFC West by knocking off Houston.
The Texans were much more intriguing a couple weeks ago but have lost star quarterback Deshaun Watson to a season-ending knee injury. Houston is going to be hard-pressed to win this game with Tom Savage at the helm.
This contest in Week 10 of the regular season will go down Sunday, November 12, 2017, at 4:05 p.m. ET at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Odds Analysis
The Rams are heavy favorites to rout the Texans because of their success this year and the home field advantage. Even with the high spread, more than 84 percent of the action has gone to Los Angeles to cover.
The scoring total is pretty high because of the Rams’ high-powered offense, and the “over” has been the more popular choice thus far.
Player To Watch
Savage -- The Houston quarterback has not played well at all this season, helping torpedo the team’s chances at making the playoffs. While Watson was a revelation, the prognosis without him is pessimistic.
Savage is just 26-of-57 for 281 yards and a touchdown on the season. While he hasn’t been intercepted, Savage has been sacked nine times. He faced off against a poor Colts defense last time out and completed only 19-of-44 passes in a 20-14 loss.
If Savage can’t figure things out, the Texans are going to be in for a long day.
Key Stat
32.9. That’s the number of points per game the Rams are averaging this season, which is in stark contrast to last season’s figure. Los Angeles put up a ridiculous 51 points last time out against the Giants and don’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
No. 1 overall pick Jared Goff took his lumps as a rookie but has been fantastic this season. Goff has thrown for 2,030 yards with 13 touchdowns and four interceptions. McVay has been a big part of that, redoing the offensive scheme to put Goff in position to succeed.
Running back Todd Gurley has also tapped into his vast potential. Gurley has carried the ball 161 times this season for 686 yards and seven touchdowns. He has also been a threat in the passing game, catching 29 passes for 338 yards and three touchdowns.
Free ATS Pick
The Texans aren’t only down their star quarterback, but star defensive lineman J.J. Watt as well. Jadeveon Clowney is an elite player but Houston’s defense hasn’t been the same since Watt was injured.
Houston is in a lot of trouble in this game. It needs to come up with some key turnovers and get the running game going to have a shot at staying close. The Rams are for real, and don’t expect the Texans to be able to hang around in this one.
Los Angeles is ahead of the vaunted Seattle Seahawks in the NFC West and should stay there by cruising to this win. The Texans are slipping out of playoff contention without Watson and this will make life tough on them.
The “over” is the choice on the scoring total as the Rams should be able to move the ball at will against a struggling Houston defense. It’s a large spread and won’t be an easy one to cover for Los Angeles, but it is playing so well that will happen.
NFL Odds: Rams 31, Texans 17
