Indianapolis’ season may be officially sunk if it loses this one, so the team should come out with a lot of purpose, but it may not be enough. Cincinnati isn’t a great team but it is the more talented one in this matchup and it will aim to get out to a quick start in order to extinguish any hopes the Colts may have of pulling the upset.

Odds Analysis
This is one of the most lopsided spreads of the season, and that’s not really a surprise. The Colts were dominated last time out and don’t have much to feel good about heading into this matchup. They will try to hang around but it’s possible the Bengals easily cover this spread even though it is in the double-digits.
The spread seems a little high based on Indianapolis’ offensive ineptitude, but a defensive touchdown could help get the points up in a hurry.
Injury Report
Andrew Luck -- The Colts’ quarterback started to practice after offseason shoulder surgery but has now been shut down. The setback is expected to keep him out for at least another month, and there may come a point when the Colts decide it’s not worth it to bring him back at all in 2017. Jacoby Brissett has been a decent fill-in and will once again get the ball in this one, but this is not a playoff team without Luck.
Malik Hooker --The Colts’ promising rookie safety tore his ACL and MCL in the team’s blowout loss to the Jaguars last time out. It’s a brutal blow for one of the better players on the Indianapolis defense. The team definitely gets less talented without him in the lineup the rest of the way.
Adam Jones -- The Bengals cornerback is dealing with a back issue and missed the team’s Week 7 contest against the Steelers. The Colts’ best offensive weapon is star receiver T.Y. Hilton, and if Jones missed another game that hampers Cincinnati’s ability to cover Hilton to the best of their ability.
Player to Watch
Joe Mixon -- The Bengals rookie running back wasn’t happy with his workload in the loss to Pittsburgh, as he carried the ball only seven times for 48 yards and a touchdown. Mixon thought the Bengals should have ran the ball more in the second half against the Steelers.
If the coaching staff wants to send a message to Mixon about speaking out through the media, it may demote him in this one. Or, it could heed his advice and give Mixon a healthy dose of touches. He is a talented player and if Mixon gets the ball a lot he figures to do well against a Colts defense that is below average.
Free ATS Pick
The Bengals have been much better after a poor start but still sit at just 2-4 and in need of a turnaround. This game is more about winning. There need to be some style points that come along with it. If Cincinnati can win going away, it will give the team confidence moving forward.
However, if a Colts team hangs around despite being on the road, that will be reason to worry. Indianapolis is probably beaten down mentally at this point and could fold quickly if the Bengals take control early. That is what is expected to happen in this one. Take the Bengals in a blowout as the Colts’ struggles will continue.
NFL Odds: Bengals 27, Colts 13
