The Los Angeles Chargers were almost left for dead early in the season, but are now smack in the middle of the AFC wild card race. The Chargers dominated the Buffalo Bills last time out and would love to keep it rolling in Week 12. However, they will have a tough matchup in a road game against the Dallas Cowboys.
Dallas is fighting for a wild card spot of its own in the NFC but is facing an uphill battle. The Cowboys have not played as well as they did a year ago and hope to turn it on down the stretch, beginning with this matchup. Even though Dallas has the better record, the NFC is much more competitive and it’s going to be hard to lock down a playoff spot.
This matchup in Week 12 of the regular season will take place on Thursday, November 23, 2017, at 4:30 p.m. ET at AT&T Stadium.

Odds Analysis
The Cowboys played on Sunday night, so there is no line on this game quite yet. Dallas was dominated on national television by the Eagles last time out so there may be an overreaction to that. However, the Cowboys should be considered the favorite in this game and if the spread is too low they could be an intriguing bet.
The scoring total has yet to be released. It could be a little higher than normal since both offenses have solid quarterbacks leading the way.
Injury Report
Tyron Smith — The Cowboys’ starting left tackle has missed the past couple of games with back and groin injuries. It has been a big issue, as the perennial Pro Bowler’s absence has resulted in a bunch more pressure on quarterback Dak Prescott than he is used to getting. Smith’s return would be huge, especially against a Chargers front that is impressive. Keep a close eye on his status.
Ezekiel Elliott- The Dallas running back isn’t injured but is in the midst of his six-game suspension. The Cowboys have struggled without him thus far. Alfred Morris is a decent fill-in but doesn’t have the same dynamic abilities as Zeke. The Cowboys will aim to stay afloat without Elliott in this game and for the next few.
Joe Barksdale- The Chargers’ offensive tackle continues to battle a turf toe injury that may send him to injured reserve. Even if he avoids it for now, it seems very unlikely Barksdale will be available for this matchup.
Key Stat
5. That’s how many interceptions the Chargers totaled on Sunday in a dominant 54-24 win over the Bills. Buffalo started rookie quarterback Nathan Peterman in the contest and he was welcomed to the NFL quite rudely by the Los Angeles defense.
Casey Hayward had two of the interceptions while Korey Toomer, Tre Boston Trevor WIlliams each had one apiece. Hayward has quickly become one of the better defensive backs in the AFC and hopes to pick off another pass in this one, although it will be considerably harder against Dak Prescott.
Prescott did throw three interceptions last week against the Eagles, but that was an anomaly as he usually takes much better care of the ball.
Free ATS Pick
The Cowboys need to pick up some wins in order to stay alive in the NFC playoff hunt, while the Chargers could find themselves right in the mix by pulling off this upset. Dallas is struggling right now, and Joey Bosa against a backup left tackle could be a great combination for Los Angeles.
Take the Chargers to go on the road and come away with a big-time win as they seem to be coming together at an important time after a slow start.
NFL Odds: Chargers 23, Cowboys 20
