The Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings weren’t expected to win their divisions when the season began, but here they sit in the driver’s seat past the midway point of the season. Each has the look of a legitimate playoff contender as they prepare for an intriguing faceoff in Week 11.
The Rams have been a juggernaut in the past few weeks but have to hit the road for this matchup against a Vikings team also playing well. Minnesota is listed as a slight favorite in this game but it looks like it could go either way as each team has seen its talent blossom in 2017.
This contest in Week 11 of the regular season will go down Sunday, November 19, 2017, at 1 p.m. ET at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Minnesota Vikings -2.5

Odds Analysis
The oddsmakers believe the talent level of these teams is pretty even, and the Vikings get the nod on the spread because of the location of the game. The margin of less than a field goal has intrigued bettors as Minnesota is currently garnering about 54 percent of the early action.
These teams both have impressive defenses but the scoring total is higher than a normal NFL game because the offenses are also solid. Thus far, half of the money is on both the “over” and the “under” so it seems the oddsmakers have pegged the total correctly.
Injury Report
Everson Griffen -- The Vikings’ star defensive end missed Sunday’s win over Washington with a foot injury. He practiced in a limited fashion on Friday and tested the injury out before the game before deciding not to play. It seems like Griffen will have a solid chance to play in this game, and Minnesota would welcome him back as it looks to win the battle up front.
Robert Quinn -- The Rams’ defensive end didn’t play on Sunday against the Texans with an illness. While he isn’t the most dominant player on defense like he used to be, Quinn is still a very good player. The fact that it’s an illness and not an injury could portend well for his availability on Sunday.
Player To Watch
Case Keenum -- The Vikings’ quarterback is having the best season of his career in place of the injured Sam Bradford. Keenum threw for 304 yards and four touchdowns last time out in a shootout win over the Redskins.
He was brought in to be the backup but has flourished since entering the lineup. Keenum has thrown for 1,914 yards this season with 11 touchdowns and five interceptions. He is completing 64 percent of his passes and doing a great job of getting the ball to his outside playmakers Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen.
The Vikings recently activated Teddy Bridgewater to the active roster but he figures to serve as the backup for the foreseeable future since Keenum is playing so well under center.
Free ATS Pick
The Vikings are an impressive team and are playing at home, so it is easy to see why they are the favorites in this matchup. With Aaron Rodgers likely out for the year, Minnesota is in the driver’s seat to win the NFC North.
They should see that through, but this one isn’t going to go their way. The Rams will make a big statement to prove their legitimacy in the NFC with a road victory. Jared Goff has turned into a fine quarterback while Todd Gurley has become a star.
Los Angeles doesn’t yet have the name cachet of some of the other contenders but there is no doubt this team will be hanging around all season. Take the Rams to win this one so look for the moneyline when it becomes available in order to cash in.
The “over” is the correct play since the Rams’ offense will find the end zone regularly.
NFL Odds: Rams 27, Vikings 20
