The Rams have been arguably the biggest surprise in the NFL this season as they sit atop the NFC West at 5-2 on the season. The Giants, meanwhile, are one of the biggest disappointments. A team that had visions of reaching the playoffs is instead sitting at just 1-6 on the season, which is one of the worst marks in the NFL.
The Rams have played well all year and will be the road favorites in this one, which is something few saw coming a couple of months ago.
This contest in Week 9 of the regular season will go down Sunday, November 5, 2017, at 2 p.m. ET at MetLife Stadium.

Odds Analysis
The Rams are favored by slightly more than a field goal on the road, which is a sign of the respect they have started to earn from the oddsmakers. More than 61 percent of the action is on Los Angeles as it has looked much better than the Giants all season.
The scoring total is pretty low as the Giants really struggle to score points and the Rams’ defense is coming off of a shutout of the Cardinals in London the last time they played.
Injury Report
Odell Beckham, Jr. – The Giants’ top offensive weapon is done for the season with a broken ankle, and it’s something the offense is going to find hard to overcome. New York was already struggling with its star in the lineup and now there isn’t much optimism moving forward. Fellow wide receiver Brandon Marshall is also done for the season, putting the Giants in a huge hole.
Mark Barron -- The Rams’ linebacker had a thumb injury he was dealing with but was able to play against the Cardinals and should be good to go in this one. Los Angeles has mostly avoided the injury bug that has hit a lot of other teams this season. Barron is a former safety who has really found a home in the box and is doing a nice job.
Deadline Watch
The NFL’s trading deadline is Tuesday, and with the Giants already out of things it seems possible they try to ship away some veterans that aren’t in their future plans if the right deals come about. If New York makes any kind of deal, it will almost certainly be worse in the present as the plan would be to add a draft pick or a young player that could help in 2018 or beyond.
Quarterback Eli Manning has been a hot name in trade rumors. While there are some needy teams, it doesn’t seem like an automatic deal that Manning will be shipped elsewhere. If he does, that would obviously have a huge impact on this game and the rest of the season for the Giants.
New York has a lot of problems on offense currently and would be even worse off without their veteran under center. Keep a close eye on the trades at the deadline as something involving the Giants could have an impact on this matchup.
Free ATS Pick
The Rams are finally getting some respect league-wide, as their hot start has manifested itself into nearly a half season of solid play. Quarterback Jared Goff has taken a crucial step forward while running back Todd Gurley is looking like a star.
The Giants have a good defense and are playing at home, so an upset could definitely happen, and if the moneyline odds are good it’s a worthy bet. However, the choice here is for the Rams to keep it rolling with a victory and the cover.
NFL Odds: Rams 23, Giants 17
