The Miami Dolphins might be 2-2 on the season, but they are looking like a paper tiger. Miami has trouble scoring the ball and that’s not a good sign in Week 6 when it will need to score to keep up with the Atlanta Falcons.
The Carolina Panthers are playing well in the NFC South so the Falcons need to keep winning to keep pace. They shouldn’t have much trouble in this matchup against the Dolphins.
This contest in Week 6 of the regular season will go down Sunday, October 15, 2017, at 1 p.m. ET at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Odds Analysis
The Falcons are heavy home favorites but that’s not deterring the betting public. Nearly 65 percent of the action is on Atlanta to cover this spread.
The scoring total is lower than most Atlanta games. While the Falcons should score their fair share of points in this game, the Dolphins might not put many on the board, which is why the “under” has gotten the majority of the action thus far.
Injury Report
Julio Jones — The Falcons’ star wide receiver left the team’s Week 4 loss to the Bills because of a hip flexor. It’s unknown at this stage if he will play against Miami, but it seems to be trending in a positive direction. If Jones is limited by the injury that will be a blow to the offense, but if he is on the field Jones will likely find a way to make an impact.
Mohamed Sanu — Atlanta’s other starting receiver also left the game against Buffalo. Sanu ‘s prognosis isn’t as good, as he could miss two or three weeks with a hamstring injury. Sanu’s absence won’t be that big of a deal. Speedster Taylor Gabriel should be able to fill in admirably, and the Falcons still have plenty of offensive weapons against Miami.
DeVante Parker — The Dolphins’ top wide receiver suffered an ankle injury during the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Titans and did not return. Parker leads the team with 18 catches for 230 yards and four touchdowns this season. He left the game on crutches and will undergo an MRI Monday to reveal the seriousness of the injury.
Key Stat
41. That’s the total number of points the Dolphins have scored in 2017 through four games. By barely averaging more than 10 points per contests, teams usually aren’t going to win many games, but Miami has pulled out a pair.
It defeated the Chargers in the season opener and knocked off the Titans 16-10 last time out. The Dolphins caught a break in that Tennessee quarterback Marcus Mariota didn’t play.
If he suited up that win would have been much less likely. The Dolphins’ offense needs to turn it up moving forward, especially in this game against the high-flying Falcons.
Free ATS Pick
The Falcons are going to get back on track in a big way in this one. Despite the loss last time out, Atlanta remains one of the most fearsome teams in the NFL. The Dolphins are a mess despite their record and there isn’t much light at the end of the tunnel.
Miami is not going to have an answer for Atlanta’s high-powered offense and the Dolphins could struggle to score while trying to keep up. Expect the Falcons to roll to a win in this contest as both sides of the ball flex their muscle.
The spread is big but still take Atlanta to cover. The “under”may be the right call since Miami is struggling to score and the Falcons could take their foot off the gas in the fourth quarter once they have the game in hand.
NFL Odds: Falcons 31, Dolphins 13
