The Buffalo Bills survived a crazy weather game in Week 14, defeating the Indianapolis Colts in the middle of a snowstorm at home. They will remain there for Week 15, and it remains to be seen if the elements play a big factor once again.
The Bills are the superior team, so they wouldn’t mind clear conditions, but Mother Nature will make that decision. Buffalo currently holds the second wild card spot and needs to keep winning to remain there. The Dolphins will have an upset on their mind and would love to play spoiler even though their season is basically over at this point.

Odds Analysis
The Dolphins played on Monday Night Football against the Patriots so there is no line on this one. Miami looked good in that one, but the oddsmakers are more focused on the entire body of work, which should make the Bills the favorites as long as they are healthy. However, there is a big question mark at quarterback, and if Buffalo is down to one of its backups, that will have a large effect on the spread.
The scoring total figures to be low since both of these teams have trouble offensively. Keep an eye out for the spread, the “over/under” and the moneyline as they should be released soon if Buffalo’s quarterback situation becomes clear.
Injury Report
Tyrod Taylor --The Bills’ quarterback suffered a knee injury two weeks ago and missed the win over the Colts. He isn’t in the elite tier of signal-callers but has a nice combination of throwing and running ability and does a nice job taking care of the ball. He could play in this game, but check back late in the week to see his progress. Taylor was benched earlier this year but it was obviously a dumb decision and he should be the guy the rest of the year provided he is healthy.
Nathan Peterman -- Taylor’s backup is Peterman, a rookie, but he was knocked from the game against Indianapolis and placed into the concussion protocol. His status is still murky, and if neither can play, Buffalo would be down to third-stringer Joe Webb. If that is the case, the Dolphins would have much better odds of pulling out the road upset.
Damien Williams -- The Miami running back missed the game against New England with a shoulder injury. His availability is once again in doubt, although Kenyan Drake played well on Monday night and there isn’t much of a difference between the running backs.
Player to Watch
Jay Cutler -- The Bills have the stronger roster, but that could be evened out quickly if the Miami quarterback has a good performance. He was excellent last time out against the Patriots, and while the season has been bumpy overall, Cutler has always had arm talent.
These teams are built differently, with Buffalo preferring to run the ball while the Dolphins are more air-oriented. The Bills have more impact players but better quarterback play will be the recipe for success for Miami if it is to find it.
Free ATS Pick
So much of this result is dependent on the availability of Taylor. If he can play, the Bills should be in good shape. This game could be another cold-weather, snowy affair, to which Buffalo would be able to take advantage since it is built to run the ball.
The thinking here is that Taylor will play, which should help lead the Bills to a much-needed win as they scratch and claw for a playoff berth.
NFL Odds: Bills 22, Dolphins 20
