The Carolina Panthers look like they are ready to put a down 2016 behind them. After a Super Bowl run two years ago it never came together for this team last season, but the Panthers are playing well now. They are 6-3 and will aim for another victory when they host the Miami Dolphins in Week 10 of the regular season.
The Dolphins are 4-4 on the year but have a poor scoring differential and aren’t as talented as their record would suggest. Miami would be pulling a major upset if it can claim this game. The more likely scenario is Carolina coming away with a victory and it’s an important one as the Panthers aim to keep pace in a competitive NFC South.
This contest in Week 10 of the regular season will go down Monday, November 13, 2017, at 8:30 p.m. ET at Bank of America Stadium.

Odds Analysis
The Panthers are sizable favorites in this one and will need to play well to come away with a cover of the spread. The bettors believe the line is too high as nearly 70 percent of the action is taking Miami to cover the spread on the road.
Defense could be the name of the game in this one, and the scoring total indicates that. The “over” is getting a vast majority of the action, as more than 92 percent of the money thinks there will be a decent number of points in this one.
The Panthers are listed at -425 on the moneyline, while the Dolphins are a +334 underdog.
Injury Report
Ja’Wuan James -- The Dolphins offensive tackle injured his hamstring on Sunday. The team signed another offensive lineman this week, which has led to speculation that the injury to James could be pretty severe. His availability for this game is in doubt.
Greg Olsen -- The Panthers’ standout tight end broke his foot in Week 2 and is beginning to practice again, although he isn’t expected to play in this game. Carolina also traded wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin to the Bills at the trading deadline, so quarterback Cam Newton’s main targets are looking a little different of late.
Ryan Kalil -- The Carolina center has been dealing with a neck injury for much of the season. His status is in question but the Panthers have done decently without him for several games.
Matchup To Watch
Dolphins offense vs. Panthers defense -- This could be a real struggle for Miami. The Dolphins are only averaging only 14.5 points per game this season and recently traded running back Jay Ajayi to the Eagles, further diminishing their capabilities.
The Panthers, meanwhile, have been really good on defense this year, allowing only 17.7 points and 292.4 yards per game. There will be much on the shoulders of Dolphins quarterback Jay Cutler, who has thrown for 1,306 yards with 10 touchdowns and five interceptions on the year. If he has a bad game, Miami will have no shot at winning this game.
Kenyan Drake took over as the main ball-carrier following Ajayi’s trade and performed pretty well. He should get plenty of touches in this game and needs to be effective. The Panthers’ defense will aim to flex its muscles in this one and may well do so.
Free ATS Pick
The Panthers have not always been the most consistent team but have the big-time talent advantage in this game. If quarterback Cam Newton plays well, this could be a blowout. Carolina has the superior team on both offense and defense, in addition to the home field advantage.
Even though the spread is high, take the Panthers to win this game by double-digits. The “under” is the choice as the Dolphins are not going to score many points.
NFL Odds: Panthers 24, Dolphins 13
