The Minnesota Vikings come into this matchup off a bye week and with a four-game winning streak in tow. They are in first place in the NFC North with the chance of regaining the services of quarterback Teddy Bridgewater this week if he is needed.
Washington will need a couple more surprises like the one it saw Sunday to secure a playoff spot and with almost the entire Redskins offensive line banged up, it won’t be easy to pick up a win in this matchup.

Odds Analysis
The Vikings are slight underdogs and are currently getting 63 percent of the action to cover the spread. The scoring total is a bit lower than usual, which is a nod to the Minnesota defense. The “over” has been hit hard by bettors, with more than 72 percent of the action expecting more points than where the oddsmakers set the scoring total.
Injury Report
Brandon Scherff —The Redskins’ Pro Bowl offensive guard sprained his MCL in the Redskins loss to the Eagles on October 23rd. It was originally reported that Scherff might return the very next week against Dallas but is still working his way back. It’s unknown if he’ll return this week against the Vikings.
Jamison Crowder — The Redskins’ receiver is considering day-to-day heading into Week 10 after suffering a hamstring injury which sidelined him for Sunday’s game against Seattle. Crowder had a season-high nine catches for 123 yards in the loss to Dallas two weeks ago and Washington will be eager to have him back.
Jordan Reed — Washington’s tight end missed his second game of the season last week after suffering a hamstring injury. He also missed the game against Oakland on September 24th with a rib injury. Reed has struggled with injuries, but is a big asset when healthy. He also considered day-to-day heading into this weekend.
Teddy Bridgewater’s Return
The Vikings quarterback returned to practice on October 18th and the team must now decide whether to elevate him to the active roster or put him on injured reserve for the rest of the year. It appears likely the 24-year-old will be reinstated to the active roster, but after 15 months away from the field, it could still be a while before the former NFL Rookie of the Year is at full strength.
After a stellar start to his NFL career, Bridgewater was dealt a devastating blow last August when tore his ACL and dislocated his knee during a non-contact injury in practice. He missed all of 2016 and has not played a snap since the end of 2015 season.
Case Keenum has been solid or the Vikings since quarterback Sam Bradford went down with a knee injury. If Keenum keeps playing well he will likely hold onto the starting job, although Bridgewater’s presence gives Minnesota another option.
Free ATS Pick
The Redskins have the superior quarterback and the home field advantage, so there is a legitimate reason why they could win this game. However, Minnesota is playing really well even with a backup quarterback.
The Vikings’ defense should be able to lead the way as Minnesota wins a close one. Take the “under” as this will be a defensive battle.
NFL Odds: Vikings 20, Redskins 17
