NFL ATS Picks - New Orleans Saints at Buffalo Bills Game Preview

Saints-at-Bills-(FOX)

The Saints have been one of the most impressive teams in the NFC this year, as their high-powered offense has finally gotten help from the defense. If both sides of the ball continue to play well, New Orleans should be a contender in the conference.

This is a clash of styles but it should be an entertaining matchup that could go either way.

This contest in Week 9 of the regular season will go down Sunday, November 12, 2017, at 1 p.m. ET at New Era Field.

Odds Analysis

The Saints are small road favorites based on their body of work. New Orleans is getting more than 73 percent of the action to cover this spread as the betting public believes in their ability to come away with the victory in a hostile environment. The spread is at a good spot right now for those backing New Orleans as a win by a field goal would result in a cover.

Injury Report

Zay Jones – The Bills wide receiver had the best game of his rookie season last time out, catching six passes for 53 yards and a touchdown in the loss to the Jets. However, he suffered a knee injury early in the game, and then, after returning to the game, aggravated the injury. It doesn’t seem like a long-term thing but Jones’ availability for this game is in question. Buffalo did acquire Kelvin Benjamin at the trade deadline from the Panthers and he should step in and help the team out at wide receiver.

Taiwan Jones – The Bills running back is out for the season with a broken arm it was reported this week. Jones, who is alo a big part of the special teams corps for Buffalo, suffered the injury while recovering an onside kick in last Thursday night’s loss to the Jets and was taken off the field in a cart.

Larry Warford -- The Saints’ offensive guard has missed the past two games with an abdomen injury. New Orleans would love to have him back for this one, especially against a solid Buffalo defensive front. Senio Kelemete played guard with Warford out and will likely be in line for another start if Warford isn’t sufficiently healed for this contest.

Key Stat

Six. That’s how many games in a row the Saints have won after starting the season at 0-2. New Orleans flipped a switch in Week 3 and now finds itself in first place in the NFC South, ahead of Carolina and Atlanta.

The Saints captured another convincing win against the Buccaneers on Sunday, winning 30-10 at home and also have wins over Carolina, Detroit and Green Bay. The Saints beat the Panthers, who are looking like their biggest threat in the NFC South, by 21 points in their division matchup back in September.

Drew Brees has thrown for nearly 2,000 yards so far this season and has a quarterback rating of 101.7. He leads an offense that ranks fourth in the league for passing yards per game and sixth in the NFL for points per game.

Free ATS Pick

The Bills have been solid this season but laid an egg last time out. They get the benefit of extra time off before this matchup and should be ready to play.

The Saints are riding high, but this isn’t a great matchup for them. If the Bills get their running game going, they should be able to eke out a victory despite being the underdogs. The Saints’ long winning streak will come to an end in this one on the road.

NFL Odds: Bills 24, Saints 20
