The Seattle Seahawks have long been one of the elite teams in the NFC, but are in danger of missing the playoffs this season. Injuries have hit Seattle hard in the secondary, with cornerback Richard Sherman and safety Kam Chancellor possibly done for the season. The Seahawks must find a way to win without them, but luckily that task shouldn’t be too tough when they face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12 in the regular season.
The 49ers have just one win on the year, although there is some intrigue because they may start quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo in this one. The spread is a bit lower than expected, but the injuries in Seattle and the prospect of Garoppolo seeing the field has given some juice to the 49ers.
This matchup in Week 12 of the regular season will take place on Sunday, November 26, 2017, at 4:05 p.m. ET at Levi’s Stadium.

Seattle Seahawks -6.5
San Francisco 49ers +6.5
Over/Under 43
Odds Analysis
This line has actually dropped a half-point of late as the Seahawks are not as strong of a favorite than some would think. However, at this spread, Seattle is getting about 65 percent of the action to cover, as now a touchdown margin would result in profit
The scoring total is higher than if Seattle was healthy and the “over” is currently the more popular choice.
Injury Report
C.J. Beathard — The 49ers could have an easy decision at quarterback if Beathard is too banged up to play. He suffered a thumb injury in the team’s most recent game, a win over the Giants. Beathard played well in that one and had a bye week to get healthier, but it remains to be seen if he will be available for this contest.
Kam Chancellor - The Seahawks safety has a neck injury, and while he hasn’t been placed on injured reserve, there are reports that he will miss the rest of the season. Even if he gets back at some point, Chancellor won’t be playing in this one. It’s a big loss for Seattle and its vaunted Legion of Boom, especially considering Sherman was lost for the year last week when he ruptured his Achilles against the Cardinals.
Luke Joeckel - The Seahawks guard is dealing with an ankle injury. He didn’t play on Monday night against the Falcons but seems to be on track for a return in this one. That would be a big help as the Seattle offensive line has struggled badly this season.
Player To Watch
Garoppolo -- All eyes will be on the 49ers quarterback if he does indeed get the start. Garoppolo is intriguing because he played really well when Tom Brady was suspended for a stretch in 2016. However, it was only two starts and there is still plenty of reason to question whether he can become a franchise quarterback.
San Francisco gave up a second-round pick for Garoppolo and are hoping to see positive signs the rest of the season because he is a free agent at the end of the year. The 49ers have plenty of cap space to give Garoppolo a big contract if they decide he merits one.
This would be a good test if he starts. The Seahawks aren’t as strong on the back-end as they were just a couple weeks ago but overall their defense is still one solid.
Free ATS Pick
The line seems to be too low in this one. The 49ers might have the home field advantage, but the crowd isn’t a big factor, and it’s not a long flight for the Seahawks. Seattle is in the middle of a tough playoff battle and needs to win this game to keep up with the rest of the NFC.
The Seahawks might have some key injuries but they are still the vastly superior team. Take Seattle to both win this game and cover the spread.
NFL Odds: Seahawks 27, 49ers 17
