The AFC South looks to be ultra-competitive this season, and the Tennessee Titans can take a leg up if they go into Houston and pull out a win in Week 4. Tennessee has the more complete team, but the home field advantage counts for something, so this one could be a toss-up.
The Texans blew a golden chance last week and now must win this game to avoid falling into an early-season hole.

Odds Analysis
The odds began as a pick ‘em but the bettors have spoken loud and clear in favor of the Titans, who are now the road favorites. They have some momentum after looking good early in the season, including a win over the Seattle Seahawks last time out.
The scoring total is a bit higher than expected, but that’s a nod to the Titans’ well-run offense. The “under’ is the more popular pick and that makes sense since Houston’s defense is strong and its offense is inconsistent.
Injury Report
Corey Davis -- The Titans drafted the wideout in the first round to add more explosion to their passing game, but he missed last week’s game against Seattle with a hamstring injury. His status for this one seems up in the air. Davis has been impressive when he’s been on the field, but the hamstring has bothered him since training camp.
Kevin Johnson -- While the Titans are missing one of their most talented wide receivers, the Texans are down a starting cornerback with the absence of Johnson. He sprained his knee in Week 2 and is expected to miss a month or more.
Matchup To Watch
Texans’ defensive front vs. Tennessee offensive line -- Houston gave the Patriots a lot of trouble last week because they were able to put consistent pressure on Tom Brady. While the New England quarterback put up big numbers, he was also sacked often. Whitney Mercilus delivered the biggest blow, hitting Brady and forcing a fumble which Jadeveon Clowney returned for a touchdown.
However, when given time, Brady was able to dice up a Houston secondary that is missing some key pieces. It will again be incumbent on the front to dominate in order for the Texans to win this one. J.J. Watt, Mercilus and Clowney make up arguably the best trio of defensive linemen in the game, but they will have a tough test against a Tennessee offensive line that is solid.
The Titans are built differently in that they like to establish the run before going to the pass, and so Houston must show it can slow down DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry. Quarterback Marcus Mariota is also mobile, so it will be a tough task for the talented Houston defensive front.
Free ATS Pick
The Titans are rolling right now, but these teams are too close in talent level to choose the road favorite. Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson showed some nice growth last week against the Patriots and should continue to get better. Take the Texans to not only cover the spread but win this game outright at home behind a defensive line line that wreaks havoc.
The AFC South should be even more cluttered after this one goes in the books. Take the “under” on the scoring total as it should be a defensive battle at NRG Stadium.
NFL Odds: Texans 20, Titans 19
