The Jacksonville Jaguars were arguably the most pleasant surprise of the first week of the regular season, as they used a dynamic defense to upset the Houston Texans. They will aim to keep it rolling in another AFC South division matchup in Week 2 when they host the Tennessee Titans.
Tennessee has the superior roster but Jacksonville is at home and riding high. If the Jaguars manage to win this game they will really set the rest of the division on notice. Jacksonville has been a league laughingstock for a long time, and it would be a huge turn of events if it can finally reach respectability.
The Titans fell to a talented Raiders team in their first game and would really like to avoid an early 0-2 hole by capturing this win.
Kickoff for this regular season Week 2 game is set for Sunday, September 17, 2017, at 1 p.m. ET at EverBank Field.

Odds Analysis
The Jaguars played great in Week 1 but the betting public isn’t buying them quite yet. While this game is a pick ‘em, nearly 89 percent of the early money has jumped on the Titans to win this game on the road.
The scoring total is lower than most games as neither offense is particularly explosive. The early bettors see it as too low since the “over” is the more popular choice thus far.
Injury Report
Allen Robinson - The Jaguars’ leading receiver tore his ACL in the opener, which is a huge blow to the offense. Quarterback Blake Bortles is having trouble enough succeeding and now will be without his top target for the rest of the year. Robinson is a talented player who was capable of reaching 1,000 yards receiving this season, and now the passing game must regroup.
Player to Watch
Calais Campbell -- The Jaguars signed the Pro Bowl defensive end to a lucrative free agent deal this offseason and he paid immediate dividends in the first week. Campbell had an eye-popping four sacks in the win over the Texans, helping put into motion the surprising blowout on the road.
Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota is a more talented and seasoned quarterback than what Houston sent out, and he knows how to get rid of the ball when needed. Additionally, the Titans’ offensive line is solid and will present a much bigger challenge for Campbell.
Jacksonville is at home, and if the crowd can get into it that will help the defensive line. If Campbell can get consistent pressure on Mariota, it will really help the defense play well for a second consecutive week.
Free ATS Pick
It was a dominant showing by the Jaguars last time out, but the quarterback play is ratcheting up a level with the impressive Mariota on the other side in this one. If Jacksonville gets behind, Bortles will need to prove he can lead this team to a comeback.
While the Titans are the better team, don’t undervalue the home field advantage. The Jaguars may be able to continue to surprise by taking care of business in this one as well. Leonard Fournette had a big game on the ground last time out in his NFL debut, and using his running prowess and a strong defense will be the right combination for a 2-0 start.
The Titans are a solid team and should keep this one close, but the Jaguars should show that they were undervalued this season because 2016 went so badly. There is no clear favorite in the AFC South, but Jacksonville can definitely make itself a player by capturing this game and staying ahead of the rest of the pack.
The “under” is the call as neither offense is particularly explosive.
NFL Odds: Jaguars 23, Titans 18
