2014 Season Record: 6-10 SU, 7-9 ATS, 10-6 O/U

2015 Regular Season Wins Total: 8, -145 O, +125 U

Odds to Win Super Bowl: +3602

Odds to Win NFC: +1900

Odds to Win Division: +336

Under new offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo and a bounce back season from quarterback Eli Manning, the Giants put together a decent offensive team, particularly through the air. Partly responsible was Odell Beckham Jr., who is easily the most explosive receiver in the game. And if Victor Cruz returns to health the G-Men possess the best receiving duo in the NFL.

The signing of Shane Vereen from the Patriots should shore up a weak running game but the offensive line suffered a serious blow when the team’s most effective interior player Will Beatty tore a pectoral muscle and could miss the entire season. First round draft pick Ereck Flowers moves into a spot on the shuffling O-line.

Even with the shakeup on the offensive line, scoring and churning up yards won’t be the Giants biggest concern in 2015.

Steve Spagnuolo was brought back to run the defense and he’ll have his hands full with a team that has plenty of holes on that side of the ball. The Giants allowed teams to run all over them and did little to address that situation either through the draft or free agency.

The Giants tagged end Jason Pierre-Paul their franchise player and acquired George Selvie to shore up the line, but the linebackers remain an issue.

Jon Beason, Jameel McClain and J.T. Thomas have all struggled in the past and at this stage it’s hard to say that any of the three are even average in that role. This weakness leaves the Giants vulnerable in the middle part of the field, an area their NFC East division counterparts love to expose.

The secondary is competent with Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Prince Amukamara at the corners. However, there are no locks at the safety positions with youngsters Nat Berhe, Landon Collins, Cooper Taylor and Mykkele Thompson auditioning for a starting role.

The Giants’ win total has decreased in each of the last three years and the pressure is on coach Tom Coughlin to get the G-Men back to the playoffs. If not, adios coach.

KEY ADDITIONS: RB Shane Vereen, WR Dwayne Harris, DT Kenrick Ellis, DE George Selvie

KEY LOSSES: S Antrel Rolle, OC J.D. Walton, CB Walter Thurmond, CB Zack Bowman, LB Spencer Paysinger, DE Mathias Kiwanuka.

With the threats the Giants have on offense they will score points. The question is can they stop the opponent from putting up more? New York’s NFL lines regular season win total is set at 8, and that feels like the ceiling for this squad that will have a hard time stopping people.
