Offensive Player of the Year is one of the premier awards the NFL has to offer, and every year, there are tons of wagers on this proposition. Even though this is an award which is generally reserved for a quarterback, of late, running backs have been getting a bunch of run as the Offensive Player of the Year, and this year, the top rusher in the NFL Draft is the overwhelming favorite to capture the award.

Last year, the conversation to win Offensive Rookie of the Year began and ended with Jameis Winston. Winston didn't do anything to dissuade his bettors over the course of the entire season, but he was outdueled by Todd Gurley, who truly had a special season.

The impact of Gurley though, is why Ezekiel Elliott is the overwhelming favorite to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award this season at +110. Elliott was a monster at Ohio State, rushing for over 1,800 yards in each of his last two seasons and averaging nearly seven yards per carry for his career. He's great catching the ball out of the backfield and is incredibly dangerous in space, yet just like Gurley, he can be a bruiser when he has to be.

The Dallas offensive line is one of the best in the league for sure, and that line opened up ridiculous holes for DeMarco Murray two years ago en route to earning him the rushing title. We're not saying that Elliott is going to win the rushing title, but the potential for something like that is there for sure. Though it's entirely possible that Elliott flames out and has a bad year like Melvin Gordon did last season, rushing for 1,200 yards and 10 TDs isn't out of the question, and that would surely be good enough to give him Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.

The next favorite in line is predictably Jared Goff, the man who was the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft. He figures to start on opening day to open up the new LA franchise, and if that's the case, he's going to have every opportunity to amass the stats needed which would give the Rams consecutive Rookies of the Year.

Aside from that, this rookie class is really just chock full of wide receivers who could make a big impact.

Corey Coleman figures to be one of the only receiving targets of note for the Cleveland Browns this year, but who is going to throw him the ball?

If you want to go with a receiver to win Offensive Rookie of the Year, the better options seem to be Josh Doctson with the Redskins and Laquon Treadwell for the Vikings. Houston's Will Fuller could be in the discussion as well, but unlike Treadwell and Doctson, both of which have No. 1 receiver potential, Fuller is going to play second fiddle for the entire early part of his career thanks to DeAndre Hopkins' presence in the Texans passing game.

Odell Beckham Jr. is the only wide receiver to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year honors since Percy Harvin in 2009.
