NFL Odds - Bengals Odds To Win Super Bowl 52

Bengals-Odds-To-Win-Super-Bowl-bm

The Cincinnati Bengals haven’t been to the Super Bowl since the 80’s. While they’ve reached the playoffs seven times since the turn of the century, the Marvin Lewis coached Bengals are yet to advance a single round. It’s been back-to-back missed postseasons for Andy Dalton and company, but the team looks to be at full strength heading into the regular season. With a win total of 8.5 and predicted to finish second in the AFC North to the Steelers, the Bengals are currently 75-1 dogs to win the big game.

Key Factors For Winning the Super Bowl

Andy Dalton Must Throw More Touchdowns – There’s no excuse this season. A.J. Green is back as his WR1. Tyler Eifert is healthy. Should the offensive line mesh quickly, the Bengals could sport one of the deepest and most lethal ground games in the league. The “Red Rocket” threw for over 4,200 yards for the second time in his career last season. The only problem was the lack of touchdowns. Only 18 after going for 25 or more in three of his previous four seasons. Targets will be aplenty, and it will be up to Dalton, now in his seventh season leading Cincy’s attack, to make the absolute most of them.

The Running Backs Must Remain Healthy – This Bengals offense is entirely different when the ground game’s clicking. The duo of Giovani Bernard and Jeremy Hill has paced the attack throughout the entirety of their young NFL careers. When the pair is healthy, Hill has played the role of “Thunder” and Bernard “Lightning”. Unfortunately, each has been unable to stay on the field the last couple seasons. Maybe the addition of controversial draft pick Joe Mixon can light a fire under them and get them to play like they did in year’s past. Should that occur, the Bengals will march one of the more dominant offenses onto the gridiron every passing week.

Enough with the Penalties, and Stop getting Suspended – Cincinnati averaged the fourth most penalties in the game, yet only saw them equate to 45.4 penalty yards which amounted to the fewest in the game. An average that tiny deduces most of the penalties were made close to the line of scrimmage limiting the amount of penalty yards. Just think how much better a team this would be if it didn’t routinely make those false starts. Or jump off sides. Then think about how awesome it would be if the defense could play at full strength! Adam “Pacman” Jones and Vontaze Burfict aren’t the sharpest tools in the shed when it comes to not doing things on and off the field that put them right square under the microscope. Each will be suspended for the beginning of the regular season. Something this franchise has gotten very used to. If The Bengals are to have any shot of at the very least squeezing out a wild card slot, it’s only shot of winning LII is by having those two guys on the field in every game they’re permitted to play in.
