NFL Betting Online: The Cowboys stunning showing in 2014 has infused the organization with confidence but can they be considered contenders with the loss of NFL rushing leader DeMarco Murray?
2014 Season Record: 12-4 SU, 10-6 ATS, 9-6-1 O/U
2015 Regular Season Wins Total: 9.5, -135 O, +114 U
Odds to Win Super Bowl: +1349

Odds to Win Division: +109
All eyes will be on the running back position after the Cowboys parted ways with DeMarco Murray, who led the NFL in rushing in 2014 and signed with division rival Philadelphia. Obviously a big loss, but the ‘Boys are built around a solid offensive line that had a lot to do with the team having the second-best running game.
The position is still a concern, however, but third-year man Joseph Randle is poised to take over with Darren McFadden as a capable backup. The Cowboys will rely on their offensive line of first-round draft picks to keep the running game at a solid level.
Under the guidance of offensive coordinator Scott Linehan, quarterback Tony Romo finally silenced the critics by having his finest season as a Cowboy directing a potent offense. Receiver Dez Bryant made Romo look good and his contract situation needs to be resolved before it causes a problem in the locker room.
The Cowboys defense improved drastically under coordinator Rod Marinelli in 2014 and could be better when end Greg Hardy returns from his suspension, which could be sooner than the 10 games levied by the NFL. That’s big for the Cowboys, because from an on the field perspective, Hardy is an elite talent.
The defensive backfield remains a big concern with only Brandon Carr and Barry Church good enough to be considered average starters. Orlando Scandrick is impressive in the slot but Morris Claiborne has never lived up to his status as a first round draft pick.
The Cowboys have the roster in place to win another division title but will more than likely have to win by scoring a lot of points. And that could be a problem if the running game suffers. Dallas used the rush attack to setup the passing game, taking pressure off Romo. If too much burden is put on his shoulders the Cowboys could crumble.
KEY ADDITIONS: DE Greg Hardy, RB Darren McFadden, LB Jasper Brinkley, LB Andrew Gachkar.
KEY LOSSES: RB DeMarco Murray, OT Jeremy Parnell, DT Henry Melton, CB Sterling Moore, LB Bruce Carter, DE George Selvie
After taking the division last season and recouping what they lost in a solid draft, the Cowboys are poised for a repeat. Based on BookMaker’s NFL odds to win the NFC East, the Cowboys are projected at +109 to win their second straight title.
