NFL GAMES OF THE WEEK

Cardinals at Seahawks – Saturday, December 24, 4:25 p.m. ET (FOX)

Yep, this is a matchup we get every year – but tell me this isn't Seahawks vs. 49ers 2.0. It seems like forever ago, but there was no better division matchup in football than Seattle-San Francisco for about three years. Now Arizona is the new boss in the NFC West, and with the acquisition of Chandler Jones, the Cards look primed to repeat again. After all, pass rush was the certifiable weak spot on this team in 2015.

Throw in the fact that the Seahawks have question marks on the offensive line, and it seems the advantage goes to Bruce Arians' club. Of course, last time these two teams squared off, Seattle pasted the Cardinals in front of the Arizona crowd. Fans made excuses that the Week 17 game meant little to Arizona, but it was still an impressive smackdown. You have to be looking forward to this clash.

Broncos at Chiefs – Sunday, December 25, 8:30 p.m. ET (NBC)

When these teams last met at Arrowhead, the Chiefs gave one away in a game that eventually cost them a shot at winning the AFC West title. Peyton Manning again pulled one out, as the Broncos scored a pair of touchdowns in the final minute for the remarkable comeback victory. It certainly is a game Jamal Charles has circled on his calendar. Charles, who missed a majority of the season after tearing his ACL, coughed up the football and Denver’s Bradley Roby returned it for touchdown with 35 seconds left in regulation, handing the Chiefs a stunning 31-24 defeat

Kansas City returned the favor later in the season, winning in Denver. But the Chiefs ended up a game behind the Broncos in the final division standings. And this one could be the game that determines the winner of the AFC West. Andy Reid has built the Chiefs into a playoff contender. The Broncos are in transition at quarterback, but their defense will be stout. This game on Christmas night is a gift to football fans.

Ravens at Steelers – Sunday, December 25, 4:30 p.m. ET (NFL Network)

The AFC North is one of the tougher divisions in football, with the Ravens, Steelers, and Bengals all in contention for the title. This matchup could have major implications for the division and the AFC playoff picture as a whole. The Steelers made the playoffs last season, while the Ravens missed out after suffering a rash of injuries.

The Ravens expect to be in a much different place at this time then where they were a year ago. Baltimore was ravaged with injuries and by the time the 2015 season was ending, it was difficult to know who was playing from week to week. Their revolving door at quarterback after Joe Flacco went down pretty much sealed their fate as a non-playoff team. Even with a minor-league team on the field, coach John Harbaugh was able to keep the Ravens competitive, even if the wins didn’t follow. If everything falls into place, the Ravens should be back in their usual perch near the top of the division.
