The AFC West takes center stage in Week 6 of the NFL regular season with two games featuring its four division combatants. The Chiefs-Raiders showdown is a likely changing of the guard in the division and could have the top spot in the grouping up for grabs.

NFL GAMES OF THE WEEK

Chiefs at Raiders – Sunday, October 16, 4:05 p.m. ET (CBS)

The Chiefs are probably the favorite in the AFC West, but watch out for the Raiders. Derek Carr and Co. took a major leap last season and the Silver and Black is poised for bigger things in 2016. With Denver seemingly worse and San Diego still a question mark, this could be the year Oakland returns to the playoffs.

Carr, Amari Cooper, Michael Crabtree and Latavious Murray trying to score on Kansas City’s defense led by Eric Berry, Justin Houston, Tamba Hali, Dontari Poe and the rest of the crew? This could be a clash for division supremacy.

Cowboys at Packers – Sunday, October 16, 4:25 p.m. ET (FOX)

Much like the Raiders-Chiefs matchup, the Green Bay-Dallas tussle is an easy sell, with two organizations that have been going at it for a long time. Be it Don Meredith vs. Bart Starr, Troy Aikman and Brett Favre linking up in the ‘90s or Tony Romo and Aaron Rodgers going toe-to-toe in current times.

Sure, these teams played last year, but we didn’t get to see Rodgers face the man who finished third behind him in the voting for the 2014 MVP Award, as Romo was already lost for the year. We’re looking forward to a meeting of two of the stronger NFC teams – when healthy – who are both looking to reclaim their respective divisions.

49ers at Bills – Sunday, October 16, 1 p.m. ET (FOX)

The NFL’s schedule makers can be a devious group. Just ask new San Francisco coach Chip Kelly. The Niners visit up-state New York for a tilt with the Bills in a game that doesn’t inspire most of us outside of the underlying storyline. The narrative, of course, being the feud between Kelly and his former back in Philadelphia, LeSean McCoy.

The two are far from being friends. McCoy made that evident last season, basically calling Kelly a racist. When the Bills played Kelly’s Eagles, McCoy denied an offer to shake the coach’s hand afterwards, saying Kelly “can’t shake shit.” As disappointing as that was for Kelly, he’ll get another chance to make amends with is former running back.
