Draft night in the NFL is always crazy, as there are always a slew of deals made which alter the entire course of how this plays out. We've already seen two Draft-altering deals when the Rams and Eagles moved up to the No. 1 and No. 2 picks respectively, and there could be a lot more to come down the line.
There will be a slew of NFL Draft prop odds at BookMaker.eu for the first round on Thursday.
TEAMS WHO COULD TRADE UP
New England Patriots – The Pats generally look to trade back to get more lottery picks, but they don't have their first round pick this year due to the Deflategate scandal. They do still have four picks in the Top 100 though, and they could package any number of those together to move up to get a player which Bill Belichick might be targeting. Talented players like Robert Nkemdiche or Laquon Treadwell could end up being on New England's radar, and we definitely think it's a possibility it gets into the first round one way or the other.
Denver Broncos – The Broncos don't have a ton of draft assets, but they do still need a quarterback. They pick last in the first round, and if they're in love with Paxton Lynch (or if all hell breaks loose and Carson Wentz and Jared Goff don't go 1-2 to the Rams and Eagles in some order), they'll probably have to make a move to go up and get him.
Houston Texans – Rick Smith almost has to go all-in right now to get another weapon for Brock Osweiler to throw the ball to. DeAndre Hopkins is a beast, but there isn't a great second option for him on the outside. The Texans won't have to move up far to have their pick of receivers in this draft, and their history suggests they won't package a lot of picks to move up, but with the way Smith went and signed Osweiler to a mega deal in the offseason, he's got to make sure he gets a receiver here in Round 1.
TEAMS WHO COULD TRADE DOWN
Cleveland Browns – The Browns are getting more analytical with their new front office, and they might value getting a quantity of picks here instead of a quality pick. Cleveland already has 12 picks in the NFL Draft, and it has six in the Top 100 as well as a future first rounder coming from Philly. Could the Browns look to move back again? Unless one of the most obvious top six picks (Jared Goff, Carson Wentz, Laremy Tunsil, Myles Jack, Joey Bosa and Jalen Ramsey) falls to them at No. 8, we could see Cleveland looking to make another move back to pick up another pick, even if it's another future pick for 2017 or beyond.
New York Jets – The Jets are a good trading partner for a team like Houston which will want its pick of wide receivers and will want to get in front of Washington to do it. If all of the major pass rushers are off the board, we're really not sure what New York is set to do. Moving back and trying to stockpile some assets makes the most sense to us.
