The Green Bay Packers have a season O/U win total of 10.5 with the under coming in at hefty -150 juice. The green and gold has won 10 games each of the last two seasons, so it’s safe to say the betting public is a true believer of everything coming in threes. Regardless, this is a team that rattled off eight straight wins at the tail end of last season before running into the steamroller that proved to be the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC title game. This is a team that’s been to the playoffs eight straight years, and it actually improved the overall roster this past offseason. The Packers are the Patriots of the NFC.

Key Players for Winning the NFC
Aaron Rodgers – It begins and ends with Mr. Discount Double Check. The former Cal Golden Bear has flourished under center in the land of cheese ever since he was handed over the starting reigns from Brett Favre. While the offense would likely still be explosive with someone else calling the plays, Rodgers takes the unit to a level few others can. He threw the pigskin for over 4,400 yards and 40 touchdowns last season, and only tossed seven interceptions. He hasn’t tallied double digit interceptions since the 2010-11 season. Rodgers is about as automatic as it gets from a fantasy perspective, and will be entering yet another season with his wide receiver corps intact with Jordy Nelson, Davante Adams and Randall Cobb returning. On top of that, he gets a new toy to work with in Martellus Bennett who gives him another athletic big man to get the ball to. Another big season looks to be in store for the cheesehead’s QB1.
Clay Matthews – When healthy, there isn’t a linebacker in the league opposing defensive coordinators would like to have on their roster more than No. 52. The Thor lookalike has wreaked havoc upon offensive lines and quarterbacks since he came into the league back in 2009-10. Unfortunately, injuries have taken their toll the last few seasons. He missed four games last year due to a myriad of injuries, and because of it, simply didn’t look like himself. When 2016-17 was put to bed, Matthews only tallied five sacks and 20 solo tackles. With Julius Peppers taking his ball back to Carolina, with him went 7.5 sacks and an able body to disrupt the opposition. The Packers defense will need a healthy Matthews to step up and resort back to playing the type of ball that garnered him First-Team All-Pro honors in the past.
Ha Ha Clinton-Dix – It’s not funny. Stop laughing. That’s seriously the Packers free safety’s name. I said stop laughing! Green Bay has an entirely new cast of cornerbacks to break in this season, and they’re going to need help, at least early on, to find their way. That will be Clinton Dix’s job from the onset, and it’s a challenge he’ll likely be way up for. He made 62 solo tackles and picked off a team-high five passes last season. Only strong safety Morgan Burnett had more tackles. With this duo roaming the back half of the secondary, the influx of youngsters brought in in the draft will allow for them to feel their way into the league with a great security blanket overlooking their every step.
