It's really good to see new blood in the playoff chase from time to time, and we're at the point in the season where one has to wonder if teams like New Orleans, Tennessee, Oakland and Dallas are really going to be Super Bowl contenders this season. All four teams have big time games in front of them to try to prove themselves once again, some of which will inevitably succeed, while others will fall flat.

Games of the Week
Ravens at Cowboys – Sunday 1 p.m. ET
It's amazing that the Cowboys are 8-1 and won't just flat out commit to Dak Prescott as the starting quarterback of this team. All Prescott did last week against the Steelers was throw for 319 yards and two TDs, including leading the team on go-ahead drives with 1:55 and 0:09 to play on the road against a team that is perceived to be one of the best in the game. It doesn't get a heck of a lot better than that.
However, Prescott feels like he's on a week-to-week deal as the starting quarterback, and his next loss might be his last before the now-healthy Tony Romo takes over under center again. The Ravens have played some fantastic defense at times this year, and this is a situation where Dallas might be overmatched just a bit on that side of the ball. Let's remember that the Cowboys still really aren't that explosive unit that we've seen before, though Dez Bryant did have a 50-yard catch against Pittsburgh and finished the day with 116 yards and a TD. If Baltimore can slow this team down, there's a shot at this upset.
The Ravens, of course, had to be loving that Pittsburgh loss. They're now the only team above .500 in the AFC North at 5-4, and an upset in this game could really give them a big edge on the rest of the field in this division.
Texans at Raiders – Monday 8:30 p.m. ET
Estadio Azteca is going to be packed on Monday for MNF, and all of a sudden, a game that looked like it might be a nice game between teams threatening to finish around .500 or slightly better this year could turn into a gem between two teams legitimately fighting for the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoff picture.
Both of these teams have bigger challenges than you might think in their respective divisions in spite of their 6-3 and 7-2 records respectively. Houston is being stalked by the surging Titans, while Oakland still can't shake Denver and Kansas City, both of which also have seven wins.
The margin for error for both teams to hold their division leads is slim at best, and that's what makes this game so darn important. Oakland is technically the home team here, but we expect a bit of a non-partisan crowd as we usually see in London for the games played on that side of the world. The Texans will surely travel some fans to Mexico City for this one to see the showcase between Derek Carr and one of the top defenses in the NFL.
