All of the bye weeks are said and done with in the NFL, and every team in the league has six games left to prove that they are amongst the legitimate playoff contenders. Week 12 is the biggest yet, as there are a slew of games which will have playoff ramifications, and the NFL odds are awfully close in the games on the board which opened up on Sunday night.

GAME OF THE WEEK

The Patriots still have a game to play on Monday, but assuming they get past the Bills this week, they've got what seems to be their most difficult game left on the docket against the Broncos coming on Sunday Night Football. There's still a long way to go to get to that perfect mark of 16-0, but this is certainly the game everyone pointed out as the potential tripping point.

The Broncos though, haven't looked truly good in quite some time. They had to escape from Chicago last week against a suspect Bears team, something that isn't a ringing endorsement coming into this game against the best team in the NFL.

This defense though, is legitimate, and with all of the injuries the New England offense has had to undertake, perhaps this could be the day that Tom Brady looks rather mortal.

The Pats are understandably set at -4.5, even with this game being played at Mile High.

WEEK 12 NFL ODDS NOTES

-There are only three road favorites in Week 12, a tremendously low number considering the fact that we have a full slate of games to work with. The biggest of the bunch is Arizona. This really is a combination of one of the best teams in the league playing against one of the worst. The 49ers were nowhere near against the Seahawks last week at CenturyLink Field, and though they're headed back home, it would be easy to believe they don't really have a shot in this game against Arizona. Keep in mind that back in Week 3, the Cards walked away with a 47-7 victory, one of the biggest romps in the NFL this year.

-The highest total in Week 12 is set at 49 between the Saints and the Texans. It's odd to think that a Houston team with T.J. Yates slated to play under center is set to play in the highest scoring game of the weekend, but that's a testament to just how good the New Orleans offense is (and just how bad its defense is).

-The lowest total in Week 12 is the 41 hanging between the Ravens and the Browns. It's clearly not a shock to see this be the case, knowing that Baltimore's three best offensive players, Steve Smith, Joe Flacco and Justin Forsett are all lost for the season. Cleveland's offense has been turned over to Johnny Manziel for the rest of the year, but the Browns had better get more of a ground game going than they had before their bye against Pittsburgh if they want to score against this Baltimore defense.

-The Jaguars have opened up at -3.5 at home against the Chargers. This is the first time Jacksonville has been favored in consecutive games since these exact same two weeks in the 2010 season.

-The Panthers are one of the 16 teams in the Super Bowl era to start at 10-0. They're also one of the rare ones to be 10-0 and yet be underdogs in a game. For whatever reason, Dallas, a 3-7 team, is favored on Thanksgiving Day at home against a team which has won 14 regular season games in a row. We've seen the Cowboys come up big on Thanksgiving before in similar spots, but this is a particularly tough one against a team which is obviously incredibly underrated.
