Games of the Week
Ravens at Steelers – Sunday 4:30 p.m. ET
With apologies to all of the games on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day is where it's at in the NFL this week, even with just two games on the docket. The first of the two is in the Steel City, and for all intents and purposes, this is a playoff game. The winner is going to seize control of the AFC North with a week to play and will almost certainly head into the postseason as either the No. 3 or No. 4 seed in the AFC.
The Steelers have no doubt about their fate with a win. They will get the X next to their name from Santa with a victory, and they'll be a win over the Browns in Week 17 away from the No. 3 seed, setting up a very likely relatively easy showdown with Miami in the opening round of the playoffs.
Baltimore can't clinch the division title this week, but a win here and a win next week against Cincinnati accomplishes the goal and would kick off 2017 with a trip to the second season.
The Ravens won the first meeting of these two teams in November, and if they can Le'Veon Bell to just 32 rushing yards and 70 total yards again as they did back then, they'll have a shot at this upset.
Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs – Sunday 8:30 p.m. ET
Remember the game that should have ended in a tie at Mile High a handful of weeks ago? It was the most defensive-minded 30-27 game in the history of the NFL and was a game for the ages. It was also a game that really set the Chiefs in motion in the right direction, while Denver has never been the same.
Now, the Broncos know they need to have this one, the return game at Arrowhead Stadium in Week 16. Denver is eliminated with a loss, but all of a sudden, it'll have a shot in Week 17 with an upset, and that's all that this team could ask for after a bad loss to New England in Week 15.
Speaking of bad losses, that's what the Chiefs suffered in Week 15 as well against the Titans. Now, with games left against the Broncos and Chargers, they could easily finish 12-4 or 10-6. If it's the former, they'll probably overtake Oakland again after coughing up the division lead and finish as the No. 2 seed in the AFC. If it's the latter, there's no guarantee of a playoff spot, though if Miami loses to Buffalo on Saturday, the Chiefs will get the Y next to their names before ever having to play this game.
