Could we have really asked for anything better than this in Week 1? Competitive games took place all over the country, and virtually every game had at least some drama in it over the course of the last two minutes. We had huge comebacks, epic collapses, overtime finishes, last second field goals, an incredible amount of points and huge defensive efforts. And that was just one week of the season.
The odds in Week 2 are sure to be tighter as a result of all of the competitive action in Week 1, and not surprisingly, there isn't a team on the board as of publication of this article who is favored by more than a touchdown.

Games of the Week
Chiefs at Texans – Sunday 1 p.m. ET
Last season, the Texans crashed out of the playoffs thanks to the Chiefs in a game played right here at NRG Stadium. Houston though, has a much different look to it at this point now that Brock Osweiler is playing quarterback and Lamar Miller is toting the rock. Both had successful first games playing for their new teams in Week 1 in a Texans 23-14 victory over the Bears, but this is the first legitimate test of the season against another could-be playoff team.
Kansas City had to rally back from down three scores against the Chargers to ultimately force overtime, and that's when Alex Smith took matters into his own hands, plunging into the end zone for the game-winning score in the extra frame before San Diego ever got its hands on the football.
These two teams both sit at 1-0, and with questions abound in both of their divisions, a win to move to 2-0 could go a long way towards getting these teams back into the tournament for the Lombardi Trophy.
In spite of the fact that KC dismissed the Texans from the postseason last year in unceremonious 30-0 fashion, it's Houston that is favored by a single point at home in Week 2.
Packers at Vikings – Sunday 8:30 p.m. ET
If we're being honest with ourselves here, the Vikings badly need Sam Bradford to be ready for the very first regular season game in U.S. Bank Stadium history. Playing against a bad Tennessee team, Shaun Hill went just 18-of-33 for 236 yards, and he didn't get the team into the end zone once. If not for the efforts of a fantastic defense, Minnesota would have lost its first game of the year, and the perception of this affair would be significantly different.
If it indeed is Bradford making his Vikings debut though, this could get interesting in a hurry if he plays up to his potential that he flashed at the end of last season for the Eagles. We know that the Vikings have the defense to be able to handle Aaron Rodgers well enough to give the offense a shot, but certainly, things are going to have to improve on that side of the ball to keep this crowd in it in what should be an emotional game.
The stakes couldn't be higher either. With a win, the Packers very well could have clear sailing the rest of the way in the NFC North, while Minnesota will send a message loud and clear to the rest of the NFL if this game is won that it still has a legit chance to stay atop the mountain in this division even though Teddy Bridgewater is out for the year.
The Vikes opened up in this game at a pick 'em before the start of the season, but with Bradford projected to start, Green Bay is favored by a field goal.
