Suicide pools have been impossible to try to run this year, knowing that two things have been happening a ton this year. First off, there haven't been all that many obvious choices to make. Secondly, many of those seemingly obvious choices have ended in disaster. If by chance you're still alive in your suicide pool, best of luck trying to figure out which team to pick in Week 6 in what might be the most level playing field we've seen all season long in the NFL.

GAME OF THE WEEK
If Andrew Luck does get back on the field next week for the Colts, you can bet the fireworks are going to be flying when the Patriots come to the Drum. This, of course, was supposed to be Tom Brady's return game from his suspension over the Deflategate incident, but of course, he has been torching the NFL for the last several weeks without ever sitting out a snap.
That doesn't mean that Brady is going to be any less motivated for this game, knowing that Indianapolis was the team which reported him to the league regarding slightly underinflated footballs which may (or may not) have given him and the Pats an unfair advantage.
The Colts might be 3-2, but they have again gotten fat off of the AFC South, winning three straight games which could have all been lost in division. The oddsmakers have wised up to that, and even though many think this is a potential AFC Championship Game preview, the Pats are still giving a whopping 7.5 at the open, the biggest spread in favor of a road team on the Week 6 docket and the second biggest spread of the entire weekend regardless of home or away.
Of course, do keep an eye on Luck's injured shoulder as the week wears on, as he has sat out consecutive games. Most though, believe that this is the week Luck returns.
WEEK 6 NFL ODDS NOTES
-The Packers are the biggest opening favorites of the week at -9.5 at home against San Diego. This is a bad spot for the Chargers, knowing that they are playing a game across the country on a short week against what might be the best team in the NFL.
-The Patriots are the biggest road favorites of the week at -7.5, but they aren't alone laying lumber away from home. Baltimore, Denver, Atlanta and Houston are all laying points on the road as well, and odds have it, Arizona will do the same at Pittsburgh when that point spread opens up later in the week as well.
-Totals are generally low this week with only one number starting off the week beyond 45.5. Of course, that total is one of the highest of the year at 51 when the Falcons and Saints get it on this Thursday.
-The lowest total of the week starts off at 41.5, numbers which are shared by the Redskins and Jets as well as the Panthers and Seahawks.
-The Lions, in spite of the fact that they are the only winless team in the NFL, are actually laying 3.5 to the Bears on Sunday. It's the first time Detroit has been favored in a game this year, and it very well could be the last as well. Even if this game is won, there are really only two games the rest of this season in which the Lions could be favored, that being home games with Oakland (November 22) and San Francisco (December 27).
