With a rising total and a rising point spread, team totals for the Super Bowl have been rising steadily for the Carolina Panthers and dropping at the same rate for the Denver Broncos.

The Super Bowl features the most prop bets of any individual game on the planet, so it shouldn't be all that surprising that you've got plenty of options when it comes to betting on the individual team totals for the biggest game of the year.
The number to beat for Carolina is set at 24.5, though you can wager on it scoring over ( +170 ) or under ( -230 ) 30.5 points or over ( -240 ) or under ( +180 ) 20.5 points as well.
For Denver, the team total comes in at 20.5 ( with -135 vig on the under ), while the alternate numbers are 14.5 ( over -223/under +168 ) and 24.5 ( over +210/under -300 ).
Considering the recent history of these teams, these numbers feel about right.
It has to be tempting to bet on the Panthers to go over their alternate total of 30.5 at a juicy price of +170. They've scored 31 points or more in three straight games and eight out of nine. Furthermore, they scored fewer than 24 points just twice in 18 games all season long, making that -240 price on over 20.5 points seem really juicy.
All of this really comes into focus as well when you consider the fact that Denver allowed 43 points the last time it was in the Super Bowl against Seattle two seasons ago.
This though, is a much different Denver defense, and getting into the 30s against this unit happens only once in a blue moon.
The Broncos haven't allowed more than 20 points in a game since Week 15 against Pittsburgh, and the Steelers were the only ones to put up more than 30 against this defense all season long. In 12 of their 18 games this year, the Broncos surrendered 20 points or fewer, and that includes doing so against teams like Green Bay, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and New England.
On the other side of the ball, Denver has quietly scored 20 or more points in five straight games. The team has really struggled to put the ball in the end zone on offense, but moving up and down the field setting up field goals hasn't been that much of a problem. The team has already produced seven field goals here in two playoff games, but at some point, those field goal drives are going to have to turn into touchdowns if the Broncos are going to win this one.
If you're considering playing the over 24.5 for Denver at such a big number, thinking that Peyton Manning has to get some points on the board to keep up in this game, you might want to think again. The Carolina defense has allowed more than 24 points just twice since the middle of November, both games of which were on the road against high-octane passing games. The Broncos just don't fit that mold, and they're likely going to have to win this game with a relatively low score.
BookMaker also has first half totals posted for both teams.
Carolina can be found with a team total of 13.5 in the first half with alternate numbers at 9.5 and 17.5, while Denver's first half total chime in at 9.5 with alternates at 6.5 and 13.5.
