The favorites once again are the New England Patriots. The Pats, as you might have heard, won a tiny little championship last night, and there isn't a heck of a lot of reason to think that they can't get back to the Promised Land again next season. There still really aren't any tremendous contenders in the AFC, as the next four choices to win the Super Bowl are all NFC teams.

New England is set at +650, easily the favorite. Assuming that Brady and Belichick are back, why shouldn't this team ultimately win a dozen games or so once again? This team featured a Top 5 offense and a Top 5 defense, and there aren't many reasons to believe that will change. Free agency shouldn't really hamper this team this offseason, and the Pats will surely bring back a roster that looks a heck of a lot like the team that was in the Super Bowl.

As far as the runners up, the Atlanta Falcons, they're amongst the second choices at +1200 with Green Bay and Dallas.

The Falcons though, don't seem to have the same sort of staying power as the Pats. They're playing in the NFC South, a division that is notorious for changing hands in a hurry, and all four teams in that division have a legitimate chance to finish first… or last!

The top team in the NFC for our money seems to be the Dallas Cowboys. Theoretically, rookies Ezekiel Elliott and Dak Prescott are going to make some big strides in the right direction, and this team still has a legendarily good offensive line that will help continue to pound the football. The Cowboys still have a lot of work to do on the defensive side of the ball, but they still have an offense that is a heck of a lot more lethal than most in the NFC.

If you're looking for a team that could come from a big price and win the Super Bowl next year, check out the Houston Texans at 40 to 1.

Houston's defense was truly elite this year, and getting back J.J. Watt is only going to make this unit all the more dangerous. In fact, eight or nine of the players on the offense were awfully good as well. The problem is that the Texans flat out don't have a quarterback. Brock Osweiler was a $72 million disaster, and that albatross isn't going anywhere this year. But could the Texans ultimately land Tony Romo and be an immediate contender again? Sure.

If nothing else, Houston plays in the worst division in the NFL, and there isn't a team that definitively will be better than the Texans even if Osweiler is the team's quarterback. You could do worse here than the Texans.
