Super Bowl Odds Report

Super-Bowl-Odds-bm

Wild Card weekend is always one of the most fun of the entire year on the NFL calendar, as teams that have dreams of four-game postseason runs get started. Inevitably, there's at least one upset or close call that comes out of nowhere in the cards, and you're never quite sure which team is going to unceremoniously have its season end prematurely next. Each game presents a new challenge for bettors, so you don't want to miss any of the action on the NFL odds at BookMaker.eu.

AFC

Given the choice of the Patriots or the field in the AFC, is there really any choice? New England has the best team in the conference, will get to play at home for as long as it's playing, and ultimately had this draw setup perfectly for it with the Raiders losing out on the AFC West title on the final day of the regular season. Now, the Pats will be at least two touchdown favorites against either the Texans, Raiders or Dolphins in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, something that amounts to be as much of a de facto bye as Alabama had against Washington in the opening round of the College Football Playoff.

New England is set at -200 to win the AFC, and that's why it's a major favorite to win the Super Bowl as well at +180. Once the Pats get to the Super Bowl, there are plenty of teams that can challenge them, but just as they are only going to have to play against either Pittsburgh or Kansas City in the presumptive AFC Championship Game, they will only have to play against one NFC team as well even though there are probably five that have a real shot of giving them a game in the big one in Houston.

NFC

The NFC is a far more interesting conference to breakdown. Aside from the Lions, who are the longest shots on the board out of this conference at +10000, you could make a great argument for any of the other five teams. Of course, you could make a fantastic argument against each of those teams as well.

The Cowboys were by and large the best team in the NFC this season, and they've earned home field advantage throughout the playoffs. But they haven't won three playoff games since Troy Aikman retired, let alone three playoff games in one season, they have a rookie quarterback and rookie running back accounting for basically their whole offense, and they haven't played a meaningful game since December 18.

The Falcons won a weak NFC South, but they went just 6-5 outside of conference play and haven't beaten a team that is now in the playoffs since Week 2 of the season. Their offense is fantastic. Their defense is anything but.

The Seahawks might have the best team in the NFC. They aren't afraid to go on the road and play in a big game, and they if there's a team that can win four games like this in four weeks to win the Super Bowl, this would be it. But Pete Carroll's defense isn't the same without Earl Thomas in the fold, and Russell Wilson didn't quite look like Russell Wilson this year.

The Packers came from the dead at 4-6 and won the NFC North, clinching the division title on the last day of the regular season. Aaron Rodgers is the best quarterback in the NFC for sure, and sometimes, that's all you need. But the Giants have been a huge bugaboo in the past, and this defense has some holes. The ground game? Green Bay doesn't even try. Go ahead and name the last team to win the Super Bowl without any running game whatsoever.

And then there are the Giants, and they might have the best price on the board of them all at +2200. Sure, they have to win three road games and likely beat New England in the Super Bowl, but it's not like we haven't seen this before. In fact, along the way to beating the Pats in the Super Bowl, they had to beat the Packers both times at Lambeau Field. But still, winning three road games just to get to the Super Bowl is a darn near impossible task, and it's hard to win a Super Bowl with the No. 25 ranked offense in the league.
