Week 15 NFL Odds - Arizona Cardinals at Philadelphia Eagles Live Betting Preview

NFL-Cardinals-Vs-Eagles-Odds

The Philadelphia Eagles have really caused a ruckus in the NFC East over the course of the last two weeks by beating the Patriots and the Bills. If they find a way to beat the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday Night Football, we think they'll firmly be the favorites to walk away with their division crown in a year where seemingly nothing has gone right.

ODDS ANALYSIS

This game is going to change the perception of the Eagles a ton one way or the other, and you can really tell that based on the spread. If Philadelphia pulls off this upset, we'll look back at this line and wonder how in the heck it was ever an underdog against anyone in the NFC at home. If it loses, we'll probably wonder how it was ever less than a seven-point dog against one of the best teams in the league.

As it is, the Eagles are getting just 3.5 as of the publication of this article after opening at +4.

The total of 50 has trended upward just a bit to 50.5, and live bettors should be ready for a scoring fest as a result.

WHEN THE ARIZONA CARDINALS HAVE THE BALL

Arizona just keeps on humming along offensively. Sure, the Cards haven't scored more than 27 in a game since before Thanksgiving, but they really haven't had to. When they've needed to drive down the field, they've managed to do so in tough, gritty games like these, and that's why they're one win away from clinching the NFC West title.

Carson Palmer is legitimately still in the MVP discussion. He's got a chance to throw for over 5,000 yards this year, as he comes into this one with 4,003 yards and 31 TDs. It's the average of 8.8 yards per pass attempt which really has our eye, though. Sure, the ground game is nowhere near as effective now with David Johnson and Kerwynn Williams running the ball as it was with Chris Johnson and Andre Ellington, but when you've got the receiving options that Palmer has, your running attack can be a little lacking.

Larry Fitzgerald needs four catches to reach 100 for the season, and he's already at 1,088 yards. John Brown needs 105 yards to get to 100, and the way Michael Floyd is playing, we aren't ruling out the possibility that he can get to 1,000 yards as well even though he only has 652 right now.

Palmer can make things happen on any given throw, as he has nine different receivers with at least one 30-yard catch this year. It makes live betting a little tricky not knowing when those shots are coming, but rest assured, the Eagles are going to give them up just like everyone else has.

WHEN THE PHILADELPHIA EAGLES HAVE THE BALL

The Eagles have no choice but to win this game on offense. They aren't going to hold Arizona down for the entire 60 minutes just as they weren't ultimately able to do that to the Pats either in Foxboro.

That said, the offense still has its concerning points. Two Buffalo turnovers setup points last week, and we all know just how bad the offense really was against New England the week prior, knowing that the 35 points scored were aided by three return touchdowns.

Sam Bradford might be playing some of the best ball of his career, but live bettors should still be ready for a war against an Arizona defense which is playing out of its mind. For our money, the Eagles haven't scored even 20 legit offensive points in a game since November 8 at Dallas, and this football game probably won't be an exception. If live bettors are going to capitalize on Philly on Sunday, it's likely going to have to happen on special teams.
