The Los Angeles Rams set the game of professional football back to the dark ages in their 2016 debut at San Francisco falling to the 49ers 28-0 as decided road chalk. Now they reopen the Coliseum back in their customary role of home underdog and you’ll be hard pressed to find an NFL bettor brave enough to want a piece of them in this Week 2 division tilt with the rival Seattle Seahawks. You know what that means.
Watch this regular season Week 2 matchup live on Sunday, September 18, 2016, at 4:05 p.m. ET at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Los Angeles Rams +7
Odds Analysis
With most linemakers waiting to make sure Russell Wilson is good to go and the Rams don’t make a change under center, only a few outs have posted a line for this game. Some -7s have popped up in favor of the visiting Seahawks, but there’s been absolutely no movement. Likely due to low limits until news surrounding the game becomes official.
As bad as the Rams looked against the Niners, it’s likely Johnny Q. Public inflates the line a bit more making it nearly impossible for seasoned NFL bettors not to take the points with the home team.
Injury Report
Russell Wilson – Even though the Seahawks QB1 rubbed some dirt on his ankle and taped it up before leading Seattle to the game winning drive against Miami last week, the ankle injury suffered after Ndamukong Suh stepped on it is said to be serious. Wilson did not excel against the Rams in the two meetings last season with each of his legs in fine working order. After St. Louis’s front seven was embarrassed on Monday night, you can’t help but think Aaron Donald and company ramp it up in their home opener. It’ll be interesting to see how he deals with the pressure on one good wheel.
Player to Watch
Case Keenum’s stat line against San Francisco last Monday night: 17 of 35 for 130 yards and 2 interceptions. I say what in tarnation was that? He made the Niners defense look like the ’85 Bears for crying out loud! His inability to get anything done through the air completely took Todd Gurley out of the equation after San Fran loaded the box and dared him to pass the ball. Seriously, how bad can Jared Goff be that Jeff Fisher didn’t even think about giving his rookie some play?
Seattle just limited the Dolphins to 222 total yards of offense last week, and held Ryan Tannehill, a quarterback with a respected pedigree, to 158 yards passing. Keenum is going to have to find some way to get the ball down the field into his receivers’ hands. If not, it’s going to be another ugly 60 minutes for the Rams.

This game sets up as one of those classic scenarios where a team looks to be in such a bad spot with no shot of winning that you have to play them 100 percent of the time. Every sportsbook is going to get pounded with square Seattle money right up till kickoff. Point spreads. Moneylines. Teasers. You name it. Everybody and their mother will be riding a gimpy Russell Wilson to the promised land right? Wrong! But LA swept the Seahawks last year so Seattle will play super pissed! Right? Wrong! Again.
It’s only Week 2. No team is as good or as bad as they looked the previous week. I seriously have no idea why the Rams looked like dog excrement Monday night. I thought they’d win the game. Regardless, something was just off but the team is nowhere near as clueless as they looked. Los Angeles won both games against Seattle as dogs last season, and have come out on top each of the last four times they hosted this rivalry. The Seahawks might find a way to pull the win out, but they will not get ahead of the number in doing so.
NFL Odds: Rams 21, Seahawks 13
