The Jets are coming into this Week 3 matchup off a 37-31 win over Buffalo while Kansas City is looking to rebound after falling short against the Texans last Sunday. The talent level is very close and the Chiefs are slight favorites based on the game’s location.
This contest in Week 3 of the regular season will go down on Sunday, September 25, 2016, at 4:25 p.m. ET at Arrowhead Stadium.

Odds Analysis
Many saw the Jets beat up on the Bills last week, and their combination of a solid offense and defense has bettors taking them at a 67 percent clip to cover the spread. An outright win is very possible if they play that well again.
The “under” is the more common choice on the scoring total as a pair of tough defenses will aim to impose their will.
Injury Report
Brandon Marshall -- The Jets wideout suffered a knee injury in the last week’s win against the Bills after an awkward fall. There was speculation that he suffered an MCL tear but he returned to the game. Marshall missed Monday’s practice, but has been optimistic this week about playing Sunday against the Chiefs.
Jamaal Charles -- The Chiefs’ star running back has missed the first two games of the season as he recovers from a torn ACL. Coach Andy Reid hasn’t shed any light as to whether he will be available for this one. Although Charles would be a boost, it stands to reason it could take him some time to get back into the flow whenever he does return.
Matchup to Watch
Kansas City secondary vs. Jets receivers -- The New York passing game has been on point early, but facing off with Marcus Peters, Eric Berry and Co. makes it much tougher. The Chiefs have one of the better groups of defensive backs in the NFL.
This will be a good matchup, as Marshall had 101 yards receiving last week while Eric Decker has 163 receiving yards and two scores on the season. Quincy Enunwa has emerged as a viable third option.
Points could be at a premium in this one, and if the Jets can get something going through the air, it would help them tremendously.
Free ATS Pick
The Jets lost on a late field goal in Week 1 to Cincinnati before rebounding last week to beat a winless BIlls team. This team looks playoff caliber, but in order to get there it will need to win some tough matchups, including this road affair against a fellow postseason hopeful.
Kansas City defeated San Diego in overtime to capture its first game of the season, but fell to the Texans by a touchdown in Week 2. The offense was stuck in neutral against Houston, albeit against a very talented front.
The return of Charles is needed, as his excellence opens things up for players all across the field. Quarterback Alex Smith needs to be protected better by the offensive line and he has to make plays when they are there.
The Chiefs can rely on their defense to lead the way but the group needs some support from the offense. Kansas City was playing some of the best football of any NFL team near the end of last season but has gotten off to a slow start.
That should continue, as the Jets look like the better team at this juncture with more balance offensively. As long as Ryan Fitzpatrick can avoid making any big mistakes, the Jets should be able to score enough to squeak past the Chiefs and head home feeling good.
NFL Odds: Jets 23, Chiefs 21
