The winless Redskins will travel to play the New York Giants in Week 3 of the regular season. The Giants are one of two undefeated teams remaining in the NFC and will be the home favorites to remain that way.
Kickoff for this regular season Week 3 game is set for Sunday, September 25, 2016, at 1 p.m. ET at MetLife Stadium.

Odds Analysis
The early money is coming in heavier on the Giants. While they haven’t been overly impressive in a pair of close wins, the talent and the home field advantage has given gamblers reason to back them.
The “under” is currently being wagered on more than 61 percent of the time, as the bettors don’t believe these teams will reach the scoring total. The Giants were expected to have an explosive offense but haven’t lived up to that billing yet.
Injury Report
Preston Smith-- The Redskins’ linebacker had eight sacks as a rookie in 2015 and had a half-sack last week before suffering an ankle injury. His prognosis is unclear, but if he misses the game it will be a blow to the Giants’ pass rush.
Rashad Jennings -- The Giants’ running back suffered a hand injury in Week 2 against the Saints. It’s not a big blow if he can’t play, as Shane Vereen and rookie Paul Perkins should be able to fill in just fine.
Matchup to Watch
Odell Beckham, Jr. vs. Josh Norman -- The most entertaining individual rivalry resumes when these two face off. They went to battle in a memorable and violent showdown last season when Beckham was still with the Giants but Norman was in Carolina.
The trash-talking has remained at a high volume, and both will want to get the best of the other. Beyond pride, the winner of this matchup will give his team a big leg up.
Beckham is one of the most talented wideouts in the NFL and will aim to kickstart the offense. Norman is a shutdown corner and is playing as well as ever, but there was some question in Week 1 after he didn’t shadow Steelers star Antonio Brown.
The belief here is that Norman will be following around Beckham wherever he goes, and Bashaud Breeland can guard Sterling Shepard and Victor Cruz. The Giants have an explosive offense, but if Norman can blanket Beckham, it takes away the primary weapon.
Free ATS Pick
The Giants might be undefeated, but their wins came in close contests against a pair of mediocre opponents. They shouldn’t be crowned anything quite yet, although a revamped defense has been impressive.
New York will have another good test against a Washington team which won nine games a season ago but has already lost to the Steelers and Cowboys. The Redskins will have a lot of their results hinged on the play of quarterback Kirk Cousins, who was really good last season but hasn’t done as well early in 2016.
Washington has very little running game to speak of, so there is a lot of pressure on Cousins and his main targets Jordan Reed and DeSean Jackson.
The spread looks too high in this one. While the Giants will likely be able to pull out a win and improve to 3-0 on the season, expect it to come down to the final minutes. The “over” is the correct play as this one should be exciting as these NFC East foes meet once again.
NFL Odds: Giants 27, Redskins 24
