Ryan Fox is listed as the lukewarm favorite to win the Fiji International, which begins on Thursday at the Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course. This will be the second consecutive year that the Fiji International is part of the European Tour schedule. Most of the top European players are bypassing this event, so there are no big name players in the field. Fox is listed as the favorite at +1250, while Andrew Dodt is the second choice in the betting at +1650.

Odds Analysis
Ryan Fox +1250
Fox is 21st in the Race to Dubai Rankings and for him it is all about distance, as he ranks 6th on the European Tour in driving distance. It is very weak field in Fiji and he could be a worthy favorite.
Andrew Dodt +1650
Dodt is 27th in the Race to Dubai. His overall stats are not that great but he does rank 30th in greens in regulation. I think he is overvalued at these odds.
Scott Hend +1850
Hend could have some value in this event as he has done well previously in Asian Tour events. He has won nine times on the Asian Tour and twice on the European Tour.
Michael Hendry +2050
Hendry is ranked 123rd in the world but I think he is extremely overvalued at these odds considering he is outside of the Top 100 in driving, putting and in greens in regulation.
Vijay Singh +2550
Singh is playing on his home course that he redesigned and Singh is playing better recently. It is a weak field in Fiji and Singh can definitely contend for the win on a course he knows really well.
Jazz Janewattananond +3350
You probably have not heard of Janewattananond but he is making his mark on the Asian Tour at 21-years old. He won his first Asian Tour title at the Bashundhara Bangladesh Open in February and he is eighth on the Asian Tour Order of Merit. Jazz said recently that he wants to take his game to the next level. “I want to challenge myself and see if I can get into contention every week, as only then can I take my career to the next level.”
Course: The Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course opened in June of 2009 and is located on Fiji’s largest island Viti Levu. The course is visually stunning with 15 of the 18 holes featuring the Pacific Ocean in the background. The course hosted the Fiji International in 2014 when Steven Jeffress got the win.

Notes:Three former Masters winners are in the field in Vijay Singh, Mike Weir and Angel Cabrera. The last win for Cabrera in an Asian Tour event came in 2007 at the Barclays Singapore Open, as he finished one shot ahead of Singh. “Vijay is a terrific competitor and has a great mind for the game, I’m sure that will reflect in the changes he has made to his home course,” Cabrera said recently.
