Graeme McDowell looks for third straight title at the Alstom Open De France live on the Golf Channel

Two-time defending champion Graeme McDowell ( +2665 ) is joined by fellow Ryder Cup teammates Jamie Donaldson ( +2420 ), Martin Kaymer ( +2625 ), Lee Westwood ( +2265 ), Stephen Gallacher ( +6455 ), Victor Dubuisson ( +4665 ) and Francesco Molinari ( +1415 ) in a betting field that could be the strongest of the year on the European Tour.

McDowell looks to join Sir Nick Faldo as a three time winner of the Alstom Open De France as he gets ready to defend his title he won 12 months ago. He will have to come out of his current slump but loves the course and had this to say leading up to last year’s win, “Always been a golf course which I've enjoyed playing, and I always felt it was a golf course where I could perhaps have a chance to win,”

There really is no clear cut betting favorite this week, the field is wide open, which adds to the drama of the event. BookMaker sportsbook has the daily matchups and tournament matchups up and ready for you to wager on.

After missed cuts at the Nordea and the U.S. Open, Thongchai Jaidee ( +2725 ) got back on track in last week’s BMW International Open and finished T11. Jaidee will be making his 10th start at Le Golf National and has had plenty of success in the past with a runner-up finish a year ago and four other top 25’s.

Since winning the Lyoness Open three weeks ago, Chris Wood ( +3835 ) returned back down to earth to miss the cut in Germany last week. The Englishman has never really played well at this week’s host course. In four visits he’s never broken 70 and his last two starts at Le Golf National resulted in missed cuts in 2012 and 2013. When you win, you move up and you also move up in the elite tier brackets as far as matchups go. Wood will likely be paired up against an elite player, such as Jamie Donaldson or Danny Willett and find himself in unfamiliar territory, paired up against a player that is better than him on a weekly basis.

Jamie Donaldson ( +2265 ) is one of the favorites this week and for good reason as he has finished T5 and T6 in his last two trips to France. The Welshman has been very inconsistent playing stateside ( missed his last two cuts ), but very consistent playing in Europe where he feels right at home. Look for Donaldson to be in the mix from start to finish and perhaps pick up the win.
