Tommy Fleetwood is favored to win the Shenzhen International this week at odds of +1515. It is the third edition of this event, as Soomin Lee was a surprise winner last year, while Kiradech Aphibarnrat won two years ago. Fleetwood is the favorite to win this year, even though Bubba Watson is in the field. Watson is the highest ranked player in the field at No. 22 in the world and he is the second choice in the betting at +1642.

Odds Analysis
Tommy Fleetwood +1515
It is hard to argue against taking Fleetwood this week, as he has finished 2nd, 3rd and 19th on this course in the past. He also finished in the top three in the Hong Kong Open the last time he was in China. He is having a good season with a win in Abu Dhabi and he was second at the WGC-Mexico Championship. He is currently second in the Race to Dubai.
Bubba Watson +1642
This course in China should suit Bubba really well but that was the case for the last two years and Bubba finished tied for 29th and tied for 8th. He isn’t playing nearly as well this year as he has the past two years so it is hard to get too excited about taking him at these odds.
Ross Fisher +1736
Fisher is playing well coming into this event as he made the Masters, reached the quarters of the WGC-Dell Match Play and he tied for third at the WGC-Mexico Championship. He has finished second twice in China in the past and he finished in the top 20 in this event the past two years.
Bernd Wiesberger +1997
I think you can make a decent case for taking Wiesberger to win this week against what is really a weak field in China. Wiesberger played well at the WGC-Dell Match Play and he did okay at the Masters. He tied for third at the Maybank Championship in Malaysia before those events. He is worth a look at odds of nearly 20-1.
Joost Luiten +2282
Luiten did well on the par 5’s last week in Morocco (-11) and if he repeats that success in China he should have a decent chance to win. He tied for 2nd in this event last year and I think he is worth a shot at odds of nearly 23-1.
Alexander Levy +2855
You have to give Levy a chance to win this week simply because he has done well at Genzon in the past. He won the China Open in 2014 and he has also finished tied for fourth in this event.
George Coetzee +2918
Coetzee has played well in China in the past and it would not be a shock to see him in contention this week. He tied for 8th in India in his last start and he has finished in the top 10 in half of his last six starts.
Haotong Li +3340
The local favorite is Li and he nearly won this event two years ago but lost in a playoff to Kiradech Aphibarnrat. The field isn’t that strong for this year’s event and Li has shown he can play well with a win at the Volvo China Open and a tie for second in the Turkish Airlines Open last year and he tied for fifth in this year’s Maybank Malaysia. Li is my longshot this week at odds of more than 33-1.
Course: Genzon Golf Club is a par 72 that is really short at 7,145 yards and has wide fairways. It was designed by Neil Haworth and features very accessible par 5 holes. Last year it was Soomin Lee dominating the par 5’s with nine birdies and an eagle. Two years ago Kiradech Aphibarnrat played the par 5’s in 8-under par.
TV Coverage: Golf Channel
Notes: This is just the third edition of the Shenzhen International and in the first two editions the favorite did not win. Two years ago it was Kiradech Aphibarnrat winning in a playoff against Haotong Li and last year it was Soomin Lee winning by two shots over Joost Luiten and Brandon Stone.
