The European Tour stays in China this week for the Volvo China Open where Bernd Wiesberger is the favorite at odds of +1000. Wiesberger got the win last week at the Shenzhen International, so he will be trying for two straight wins. It is a top heavy field in Beijing with only two players listed at odds of less than 20-1. Wiesberger is +1000, while Ross Fisher is +1100. It is worth noting that longshots have won the last two editions of this event, as Hao Tong Li won last year, while Ashun Wu won two years ago.

Odds Analysis
Bernd Wiesberger +1100
The obvious favorite to win this week is Wiesberger who won last week. He has been finishing in the top 15 on a regular basis this season so his win last week was not a surprise and we predicted he would have a good chance to win. Wiesberger played well at Topwin last year with a 65 and a 69 in the first two rounds before faltering on the weekend.
Ross Fisher +1100
Fisher comes off a tie for third last week at Shenzen and he will be trying to atone for his bogey on the 18th hole that kept him out of a playoff. He is up to 5th in the Race to Dubai. He had a couple of good rounds in this event last year but his first round and final round were poor.
Alexander Levy +2250
If someone is to finish in front of the top two the most likely player would be Levy who has won this event in the past. He tied for 8th last week and he played well last year before faltering a bit in the final round.
Joost Luiten +2550
Nothing really came together for Luiten last week at Genzon but he still shot under par in all four rounds. He has finished in the top 20 four times in this event but last year he didn’t play well and tied for 44th.
George Coetzee +2850
A live longshot this week could be Coetzee who was actually tied for the lead last week before he hit into the water twice on 18. He has three finishes in the top 12 in his last four starts in China.
Course: Topwin Golf & CC is a par 72 that measures 7,261 yards. It opened in 2009 and was designed by Ian Woosnam. The course hosted this event for the first time in 2016. The course features two par 5’s that are over 600 yards. Water hazards are numerous on this course with water a factor on all but three holes.
TV Coverage: Golf Channel
Notes: Last year it was Li surprising everyone to win this event by three strokes. Li took advantage of the par 4’s, as he was 16-under par on the par 4’s. A couple of them are actually drivable with yardage between 317 and 365 yards. The weather should be fine for this event, although strong winds are possible for three of the four days.
