The European Tour makes a second trip to Germany this year for the resurrection of the European Open.
The event has a new sponsor with Porsche signing on for two years.
Previously this tournament had been held in the UK and Ireland with seven different venues playing host between the inaugural event in 1978 and 2009 when it was last contested.
After a six year absence, the tournament is now part of the European Tour International schedule and with the new sponsor it has attracted a world class field.
Former Masters Champion Charl Schwartzel + 1685 is in the field, as are 2014 Ryder Cup players Jamie Donaldson + 4234 and Stephen Gallacher, Austrian star Bernd Wiesberger + 1485 and Swede Rikard Karlberg + 5250, who won in Italy last week.
American, Hunter Mahan + 1745, makes his first visit to Germany.
The Porsche European Open golf odds, props and golf matchups are up and ready to play at BookMaker Sportsbook. BookMaker was the first sportsbook to have the live odds and golf matchups available to wager on.

FIELD - Any other player + 105
Graeme McDowell + 4529 hasn’t had a top ten since his first start of the year back in January at the desert Dubai Classic. G-Mac also needs a strong finish to stay in the Race to Dubai. He sits in the No. 66 position and needs to claw his way inside the top 60 in order to qualify. Until the Irishman shows me something different, I am fading him.
Fabrizio Zanotti + 3551 will be excited to return to Germany this week. The Paraguayans only win on the European Tour came just down the road in Munich in 2014. Zanotti has two top 5’s in his last two starts and looks to keep the momentum flowing with another strong finish. He currently ranks No. 79 in the Race to Dubai standings and he knows he needs to make a move to in order to secure a spot in the top 60.
Rikard Karlberg + 5250 picked up his first win on the European Tour last week and will be in unfamiliar territory this week in Germany. It’s tough backing up one big performance with another. So Karlberg has his hands full this week after fighting back to edge out Martin Kaymer in a playoff and win last week’s Open d’Italia. He’s had four top 15s in his previous six starts so you can’t say it was out of the blue. The Swede will be playing in Germany for just the second time and missed the cut in his only start.
