Tiger Woods +3050 makes his return to the PGA Tour this week at a place where he’s won a record seven times, the Farmers Insurance Open which gets underway January 26-29.
Woods makes his first start in 522 days and will be joined by a world class field that includes three-time winner Phil Mickelson +2250, 2015 champion Jason Day +800, U.S. Open winner Dustin Johnson +950, defending champion Brandt Snedeker +2000, Japan’s Hideki Matsuyama +1200, major winner Justin Rose +2000 and Ryder Cup hero Patrick Reed +1750.
Other notable players that could contend this week are Rickie Fowler +2500, PGA Champion Jimmy Walker +2500, Paul Casey +3750, Brooks Koepka +2200, J.B. Holmes +4500, Daniel Berger +5500, Kevin Chappell +6250 and South African Louis Oosthuizen +5750.
Beau Hossler and Aaron Wise were given sponsor’s exemptions. Wise won the NCAA Championship last May and has status on the Web.com Tour. Hossler was a standout collegiate player at Texas and makes his much anticipated pro debut.
The Course: Two courses are used this week. Torrey Pines Golf Club, South is the host course and will be used three times including the final 36 holes. The legendary layout measures 7,698 yards and plays to a par 72. Torrey Pines’ North course will be used the first two days and it will be much harder this year after Tom Weiskopf just finished a $12 million redesign. The courses will be wet and the rough will be gnarly, making accuracy off the tee very important this week.

Special Tiger Woods Prop Bet
Will Tiger Woods make the cut?
YES -165
NO +130
The line opened up at just over pickem’ and the public are buying into Tiger and think he’s going to make the cut, driving the price up to -165. This is a good opportunity to take the plus money and go against the public. Woods hasn’t played in a long, long time and now comes to a real tough golf course with high rough and an U.S. Open type test. NO is the play!
