The first major championship of the year is four months away and the betting odds are already out. Rory McIlroy, not Jordan Spieth is the early favorite. McIlroy doesn’t have a green jacket, he’s come close but always comes up empty. Spieth picked up he first green jacket a year ago, so I am a little surprised he is not the favorite.
A lot can happen in the coming months and there are many questions that will be answered, like, will Tiger Woods play. It is unclear of the status of Woods latest back surgery - one week he says he’s done, the next he is looking forward to getting back in playing shape. Only time will tell.
Can Phil Mickelson win again? I think Mickelson has a few more wins in him, not sure if it will be at The Masters, but you never know, he’s won it before and can surely do it again. Course knowledge is critical at Augusta and that will serve Lefty well.
I am excited to see what happens in the future months to see how it shapes up as we get closer to April. It could be an epic event with Spieth, McIlroy and Mickelson battling down the stretch.

As I mentioned above, I am surprised McIlroy is the favorite over Spieth. Bubba Watson +1625 offers gamers the best value on the board. Watson has two green jackets in his possession and with his length, he is always a contender at Augusta.
When picking a winner of The Masters it is paramount to choose players that have won it before, or contended. Local course knowledge goes a long ways at Augusta and this year won’t be any different.
Angel Cabrera +10000 plays poorly most of the year, but in majors, he finds his game. He has a green jacket and is worth monitoring moving forward. At +10000, he is worth a look.
