Golf Odds - PGA Tour Money lIst

BookMaker-Moneylist-Odds

The 2016 PGA Tour season is around the corner and as always gets started in Maui, Hawaii at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions. It’s going to be an exciting season with elite talent across the board.

Jordan Spieth looks to move forward from a historic year that saw him win the first two major championships and rack up five wins in all. Hot on his heels will be a re-charged Rory Mcilroy and a well rested Jason Day. Those players comprise what we like to call the “Big 3” in golf, but there are other players that are lurking and ready to make their move to the top.

Rickie Fowler has all the tools to make a move, as does Bubba Watson and Dustin Johnson. Justin Rose, Adam Scott and Henrik Stenson could also make some noise in 2016.

Let’s take a look at the odds to win the 2016 PGA Tour money list and break it down to see who has the best chance to win it.

ODDS ANALYSIS

The usual suspects are the favorites; Jordan Spieth, Jason Day and Rory McIlroy are hands down the betting favorites, but will Mcilroy play enough in the states to warrant consideration. Will Jason Day stay hungry? Spieth will be tough to beat, but he will also have a difficult time duplicating last year’s phenomenal run to the top.

I am looking for value and those three top players don’t offer much value. I am looking for a player that plays 25 tournaments. None of the Big 3 play that many tournaments. I am looking for a player that can win on any given week and for a player that churns out top ten finishes.

I have found that player and he offers gamers fantastic value at +20660. The icing on the cake is that he already has a win this year and also a second place finish. His name is Kevin Kisner. He is a big time player and often goes unnoticed, but he can play with the elite and is starting to come into his own gaining confidence that he is an elite player. Kisner lost three playoffs last year. He is consistent. He plays alot more then the Big 3 and is not afraid to win. Without question, Kisner is my pick that offers great value and will be in the mix all season long. I couldn’t believe that he was all the way at the bottom of the list. The bookmaker’s are way off on this one!

Other interesting names on the list include Tiger Woods. He isn’t even going to play this year and shouldn’t be on the list. Patrick Reed is one of my favorite players and he is a player that could go on a roll and win 3 or 4 times in 2016. Reed at +6600 is another one that I like and could do some damage in 2016.

Paul Casey +10000 is another player to keep your eye on. He opted to cancel his European Tour membership so he can concentrate solely on the PGA Tour. The Englishman had a bunch of close calls last year and with a little luck he could win multiple times in 2016. He will likely play 20 or so tournaments and at +10000 he is worth a look.

I am down on Kisner +20660, Reed at +6600 and Casey at +10000 - all are great players and all offer gamers great value.

It should be an exciting year on the PGA Tour in 2016 and why not wager on a few players to have added interest each week. I can’t wait to see it all unfold and after Kisner wins the money title, I will have a few extra bucks in my pocket. Let the games begin!
